Mohammad Yousuf? I thought we were getting Khan?
Mohammad Yousuf who made his debut for the Bears yesterday is a cracking player. He's the guy who converted to Islam a few months after making his Pakistan debut. As Yousuf Youhana he was only the 4th Christian to play for Pakistan. A first class avergae of over 48 and a test average of over 50 shows the guy's class.Younis Khan is still listed as our overseas player for the 2011 season so I would imagine that Mohammad Yousuf has been signed as a short term replacement. Given the perilous financial state of the county game this is a very good signing. It will be a very important first hour for the Bears today. We need to exploit the favourable early morning conditions to have any chance of remaining in this game.

Are we going to have the long-awaited H&V Cricket Day at Edgbaston this year? I fancy 5th June, against Northants in the Twenty20, as it's the day before my birthday.
