Has everyone suddenly forgiven Dunne for attacking Cowans? Or was that all a made up story?

I wasn't here last week, what was the actual story with the bust up, was it Dunne & Collins against Sid or the French coach, or both?

Dunne & Collins v Duverne & Cowans with Delph in the Mills Lane role. I think.

Pat Murphy has a bug up his arse because he's on the outside looking in. Randy will never invite him in for drinks on the patio.

Milner has to take a lot of credit for the West Ham game and we've missed him badly.
Ridiculous that Man City use him on the wing.

Sightly off-topic, but this is the point a lot of people miss when they say "GH took over a top-6 team".  Milner was colossal for us - he did the work of 2 midfielders & was the main reason we stayed in 6th last season.

That doesn't mean we should be where we are now & GH has made some massive blunders, but there's no way we would've been 6th again this season under anyone else.

Agree completely here Tony. Milner was simply awesome, as the thread we had said paying homage to him, for pretty much all of last season, and gave the best performance of anyone this in a Villa shirt when dismantling West Ham on the opening day. So much so that if he were still here I would predict us to be well clear. Never replaced him, and no one in the squad is capable of it. Maybe Delph in time, but he needs to be playing in midfield.

Reo Coker and Delph together with Makoun in there to give extra stability might be the way to go to get a grip in midfield, play Ash and Downing wide and use Albrighton, Heskey and Gabby from the bench. It would be a grinding results side, but I would bet on us getting the results.

I must admit in every live game i saw last season Milner was our MOM in all of them for me. He did the work of 2 players and carried petrov far too much.

In a lot of our our home games last season we were poor and I thought at the time take Milner out of that side and we start to look very very ordinary.

Personally I think Pat Murphy is an excellent journalist who generally reports it as it is...he has had a bee in his bonnet about Randy not being accessible to the broadcast media but he seems well informed and his interview with GH last week would have been funny if it wasnt so cringeworthy

Yeah I agree with that. Murphy knows his stuff and has good contacts.

That said, I can't work out why he's so upset Randy dosen't talk to the press. It's not like Abramovich or the Glazers ever speak to the press either is it?

His name always raises a chuckle anyway. Was at Bodymoor heath a few years ago with my mum, security guard walks up to her and asks "excuse me, are you Pat Murphy?!"

On a tangent but radio related, did anyone hear Brian Little on TS with Keys and Gray? I missed it,though i caught them finishing the show, and Gray said if it was for Sir Brian, his career in England wouldnt have developed as it did.

Even without Milner, our team is no worse than Liverpool's, or Bolton's or Everton's, the teams who are 6th to 8th at the moment.  Liverpool in particular have showed the benefit of having the balls to ditch an underperforming manager.
