Paul Faulkner. Tit.

Agreed, what on earth does he know about football?  Since he got the CEO job, everything's gone to ratshit.

Yeah it's all his fault!  He wants to stop picking the team and giving the team talks.

Stop dicking around, Randy, pull the trigger.

I wish he would Paulie, because you know what, if he dose'nt, i have a horrible feeling that we could be in for one of those 5-0 relegation type drubbings up at Everton. They're more or less safe now, they'll be playing with confidence. The last thing this team needs is a thrashing. I might be wrong though and i hope to god i am.

I was thinking this yesterday as well.  I can really see us getting a thumping up there.  In a way a thumping could be better than a 1 or 2 nil defeat, as I can't see how GH could survive that.  KevMac in charge against N'Castle at home and the support would be immense.

The same kev mac who was in charge when we lost 6-0 at Newcastle you mean?

The game when we were easily the better side for 30 minutes and would have gone on to win the game quite comfortably had Carew scored the penalty?

Yeah, that's the one. Oh, and the 6th was definitely offside.

Although he's right, Pat Murphy was a pal of MON, He's waiting to dig his claws into us

Or...he interviews MON when he's doing well for Villa (which he did) and now he's questioning Houllier for being shit. Isn't that just reporting facts and not being biased?

Good. So long as we're talking about the same game.

Having listened to the piece I would find it hard to argue with any of Murphy's thoughts, yes he was close to MON but it seems that the previous managers name getting bandied around is a red herring. As Houllier stated himself in an interview, he was left a very good squad and has lurched from one disaster to another.

While there are exceptions like Oliver Holt, most journalists I have read or listened to have been fair regarding our current boss and only stated the facts. For anyone to think that his reign has been anything other than a disaster or to see promise hiding behind the appalling results and PR gaffes is pure fantasy and I think the penny dropped with many people after Saturday.

Supporters of Houllier, whether in the media or not are becoming few and far between, in the main because denying the bleedin' obvious gets more and more difficult.

Ever Since Faulkner arrived things have been sliding downhill- What are his credentials to run a premiership football club? Let's hope houllier has some pride and walks tomorrow , this is awful.

faulkner may or not be a poor CEO but MON walking out, Kevin McDonald, Rapid Vienna, Newcastle, conceding in the last minute, not being able to keep a lead, Man city away, Liverpool, Dunne, Warnock, FA Cup, The Shit etc etc are nothing to do with him.

Agreed, but we've seen a lot of this sort of thing recently. When things are going badly there is a tendency to lash out in all directions, to blame all and sundry and to blow small issues out of all proportion.

I am hoping that the club aren't allowing themselves to get sucked into this mindset. It's a time for cool heads and clear thinking.

:) revisionism at its best (presume just a WUM though, Kevin Mac was as bad as Houllier)

Even when we won 3-0 in the first game of the season, there was a lack of discipline in the side. No midfielder bothered tracking back. While Dunne and Warnock were terrible.

Houllier will not walk, he has far too much pride. The only way this will be resolved is by Randy pulling the trigger.

Man City should have been the final straw. That was one humiliation too many and we are in freefall since.

I agree every one is looking for people to blame, for me its down to the manager, if we get relegated it will be down to the Chairman not taking a decision.

Personally I think Pat Murphy is an excellent journalist who generally reports it as it is...he has had a bee in his bonnet about Randy not being accessible to the broadcast media but he seems well informed and his interview with GH last week would have been funny if it wasnt so cringeworthy

These aren't small issues, relegation could set us back years.  It's a time for strong leadership and decision making.  If they'd shown clear thinking instead of appointing Houllier in the first place, we wouldn't be in this mess.
