Has everyone suddenly forgiven Dunne for attacking Cowans? Or was that all a made up story?
I wasn't here last week, what was the actual story with the bust up, was it Dunne & Collins against Sid or the French coach, or both?
Milner has to take a lot of credit for the West Ham game and we've missed him badly.Ridiculous that Man City use him on the wing.
Agree completely here Tony. Milner was simply awesome, as the thread we had said paying homage to him, for pretty much all of last season, and gave the best performance of anyone this in a Villa shirt when dismantling West Ham on the opening day. So much so that if he were still here I would predict us to be well clear. Never replaced him, and no one in the squad is capable of it. Maybe Delph in time, but he needs to be playing in midfield.Reo Coker and Delph together with Makoun in there to give extra stability might be the way to go to get a grip in midfield, play Ash and Downing wide and use Albrighton, Heskey and Gabby from the bench. It would be a grinding results side, but I would bet on us getting the results.

Milner was colossal for us - he did the work of 2 midfielders & was the main reason we stayed in 6th last season. That doesn't mean we should be where we are now & GH has made some massive blunders, but there's no way we would've been 6th again this season under anyone else.
Personally I think Pat Murphy is an excellent journalist who generally reports it as it is...he has had a bee in his bonnet about Randy not being accessible to the broadcast media but he seems well informed and his interview with GH last week would have been funny if it wasnt so cringeworthy
