I'm yet to be at all convinced by Kalinic. He might just "click" one day but in this league he is very very average.
Worth keeping tabs on though. But I think there are better options.

Kalanic looks like a good finisher, but he doesn't seem physical enough or quick enough.

Actually I'd say he's very physical but not a good finisher.

Maybe Parkers demanding a 5 year deal,

8,000,000 transfer fee
85,000 a week wages

Nobody is going to give a 30 year old a five year deal on that money. Even O'Neill probably wouldn't have gone for that kind of madness.

Probably.

Good stuff. 1 signing down, plenty more to go.

He's not going to get that anywhere. Id give him a 4 year deal with the option of joining the coaching staff and fund his badges. At this stage of his career that could be an attractive option.

According to Radio 5, Levy will not break £70k a week for anyone. The highest paid player at Spuds is Van der Faart. Levy won't break his wage structure.

Luckily for Spurs its the London attraction. Imagine what we would have to pay to get VDV to move to the Midlands

I was thinking about this the other day. When high-speed rail is finished and can get players from London to Birmingham in 40 minutes or so we might become a more attractive proposition as we could tell players they can live in London and commute for training if they like.

If it is built (waste of >£35 billion) it would not open until 2027. Do we really have to wait another 16 years for more success?

£4m to keep someone for just a year. No thanks, that's ridiculous.

works out at better value than 30m over 3 years. Plus if he gets injured or is bobbins he's west ham's problem. No signing on fee either and obviously if he's a success a year later we've got the option to buy him again - for less.

Maybe it would, but to be honest, having someone tell the club they should pay £4m to keep a player for one season, then can't even be bothered to part with a minimum of £360 to watch the team he's supposed to support, well what can you say?

Plus it would only be another £3-4 million plus wages to have him for an extra 2-3 years. To have him for one season would cost us £4million + 60k? a week = £7million for a one seaon wonder and then we have to spend £8-10million on a player of similar abilty to replace him. No thanks!
