I think as Chris says above, while Parker would be expensive the difference he goes straight into our first eleven without doubt - he's not a Beye and its those sort of mediocre high earners we should be avoiding.

It was reported that Parker was given a contract in the region of £70-80k a week at West Ham.

well i got 16m for 3 years based on 50k a week, 8m transfer fee and 1m bonus, so i'm not sure where 'Arry's calculator is. To be fair he's on probably nearer 100k than 50.

Dunno. I reckon Levy would probably veto the deal. A lot of Redknapp's comments seem to have undertones  of criticism of the financial restrictions he has to work under

According to Radio 5, Levy will not break £70k a week for anyone. The highest paid player at Spuds is Van der Faart. Levy won't break his wage structure.

find it very strange that reo coker hasnt picked up a club yet. Unless he is looking for crazy money. We need a brute in midfield still as the jury is still out on Makoun and Delph hasnt done it at EPL level yet either. Petrov is finished, will only be a sub next season for us and I think we should be using him as bait to get signings in. Barton is a better footballer but Reo Coker is a good character and getting him back would be a good signing I reckon.
