I am struggling to see the screen with everyones high horses tethered to this thread. I am also willing to bet those posting on here outraged and offended by these comments are the same people f'ing and c'ing at the ref every saturday.

OK if you pop quiz 100 women tomorrow on new Street ramp and 100 men do you think more men or more women would understand offside?
It's a storm in a D cup.

You really don't get it, do you?

Doing research on New Street ramp regarding the off side rule would not  necessarily be any indication of whether men know the rule better than women.

Try it outside a football ground and then look at the results.

That may cause a storm in your y-fronts.
And if you asked 100 male referees and 100 female referees somehow i think you'd get the same number of correct responses from each group.

Excellent point regarding location Pauline. As with any kind of survey, the devil's in the detail - who you choose to ask, and how you choose to phrase the questions.

Because we know the off-side rule and don't go to be fretting about it. -;)

Not that you asked for it but as a female, I would make them publically apologise but not sack them, leave it around to embarrass them. :)

I would be extremely hypocritical to want them sacked as I have made some offensive sexist comments on several occasions but also received quite a few. Having a thick skin as a referee helps I guess.

Would be good to get a general consensus

Do people on the whole just want rid of them both ????

I could understand that possibly.

If only to get their droning voices off my tv yes.  Otherwise, I'd fine them a considerable amount of money and warn them as their future behaviour.  Oh, and ban them from any television work for the rest of the season.

Yep.

The only difference being that the women would take forever to make their fucking minds up.

Only joking, wimmins *cheeky wink*

Keys has phoned Sian Massey and apologised.

One of the most ironic things about all this, is that when it came to a controversial decision, she got it right.
