What about that pile of shit programme Loose Women. A load of withered old hags slagging men off every day for an hour.

Jokes about men not being able to multi task, being poofs with flu etc etc. No difference.
There is and I'm lifting this point straight from the discussion on 5Live this morning. Loose Women make general comments about men in the stereotypical "men are from Mars, women are from Venus" train of thought.

Gray and Keys were specifically questioning the competence of someone who had gone through all the necessary training and qualifications to be considered and treated as an equal and a professional. Their sex is therefore irrelevant.

Chris Evans used the shopping explanation (that villajk mentioned earlier) on the radio before Christmas and it didn't cause an issue precisely because (i) it was talking about women in general and (ii) he did it on the radio, for all to hear and without casting aspersions on the ability of one specific qualified professional to do their job.

In any other workplace, I suspect that the comments made therefore would at least result in an internal disciplinary procedure.

And it now looks like Keys and Gray won't be presenting this evening's MNF (stupid f**king title if ever there was one): LINK

Somehow I don't think Motson would get away with saying that black players looked alike quite so easily if it were done in today's media-driven society.

Breaking news on Grauniad site - keys and Gray have been suspended, and won't be covering tonight's match.

It's the tone of it which is so nasty. Really deliberate. And when you contrast their remarks with what they say on air they look hypocritical as well as bigoted.

Thank's for posting that.  It's the first time I've heard it.

Disgraceful.  Really disgraceful.

As Damon posted, it's the tone that is so nasty.

Anyway Pauline, did you see the Wolves game?  I thought her bum looked really big in those shorts.

hehe.

I have to say the woman speaking about it on ITV news at the moment could, were it not for her pink coat, be mistaken for either sex. ;)

If I'd have made such comments at my work, I'd be in serious trouble. I would imagine I'd be forced to go on Equality and Diversity training, would have to apologise to any individuals, and may even get suspended.

For these guys its so much worse in terms opf publicity, image and reputation - as it ever is for those on TV - but to be the frontline anchors for a programming schedule as large as sky's football coverage, well, surely they have to be fired?

It is horrible. Yet again, the cosy little club are afraid of anything that might threaten them.

`Have you ever been mistaken for a man?'
`No, have you?'

I think this is great - From the view point we might not have to see Manimal Keys and Gray on TV again....

Sky should replace them with a couple of women.

A hairy-palmed lady from Coventry and an incomprensible, arrogant, fat, baldy Scottish lass ( who dosent like shopping in Asda)
