I am actually quite excited about Nathan’s sink or swim chance. We all know he’s got the ability, because the lad has everything. It’s just a case of whether he’s got that mental toughness to be able to do it in the Premier League.

He’s strong enough to lead the line, even for a kid he’s physically big enough, while he’s also a lot more mobile and quicker than Carew. A big opportunity for him to make himself.

Carew is now a useless heap of shit and I'm almost glad we don't have to rely on him.

We have no choice other than to play Delfouneso.

I really hope the kid steps upto the plate, can't see it.

It's getting stupid now. Can clubs do an emergency loan for strikers like you can for keepers, and if so, does anyone know the criteria to qualify?

Or maybe we should just stick an ad on teletext.

This could be a blessing in disguise. I really rate the Fonz and reckon he will step up to the responsibility.

He could be awesome given the chance.

I hope GH tells Nathan tonight that he is playing, and that this is his big chance, so he has a bit of time to get his head round playing.

Games against Fulham away and Blackpool at home are not the most daunting in the world, and as Ads has said it is sink or swim time.

I'd be very disappointed if he is just on the bench tomorrow, it's not like he's never played before.

It isn't 4-6-0 tho is it?

So we're playing 2 'midfielders' upfront doesn't mean that we're not playing anyone upfront. Surely you're not that simple.

He really is a useless so and so isn't he. Right when we actually need him to be at his strong marauding best he only goes and gets injured.

Houllier has already said that Nathan is the main striker.

..............Brad
Young Collins Dunne Warnock
Young NRC Clark Downing
..........Ireland
..........Delfouneso

That's what I'd play.
Perfect chance for Ireland to have the freedom to get forward.

I don't think he'll play fonz. It'll be Young with Ireland or Bannan behind. Don't agree with it to be honest be there you go.

"It will be an opportunity for young Nathan to step up. Definitely Nathan will be the striker."
