In unrelated news, Kenny Huang has denied that the CIC is behind his takeover bid of Liverpool, meaning no £300bn assets to fall back on. This backs up the Beijing and Shanghai business community's scepticism on the matter.

What a shame for Scousers like Telegrapher himself Rory Smith, who had been claiming that Liverpool might be about to sign Drogba, Iniesta and Luke Young. The first two claims in particular show an astonishing lack of knowledge about anything.

Loads of Norwich build up on SSN all day, including interviews with Delia Smith and a tour of their club shop.

Hilarious that they lost.

Interesting I think to see St Mary's down at Southampton with large gaps on the terraces. Obviously it is holiday time but this is a team much fancied to top Division 1 and I think it is quite telling to see the size of the crowd. I fancy we could see some significant drops in attendances this year...

In fairness, they play third tier football in a Premier League ground. If they half-filled St Mary's every other week they would still have close to the best gates in that league.
