I doubt he'd have said that without having a nod that he'll be playing centre half again.
Still, you never know.

I appreciate his candour. He's a likeable chap.

Dunney and Carlos as CBs with Collins and Clark as excellent back up.

No problem at all with that, just need to sort the full backs out yet again.

Hmmm. I wonder where he's going.

AC Milan Striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar Arrives At Manchester Airport - Report

AC Milan striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has arrived at Manchester airport and is set for transfer talks with either Manchester United or Manchester City, according to talkSPORT.

The 26-year-old Netherlands international was previously linked with a move to either Aston Villa or Tottenham following last week's admission by AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani that he would be sold to a Premier League side.

Although both forwards were on the fringes of first team action, Manchester City have already let Valeri Bojinov and Benjani leave Eastlands, and have been in search of a player to add to their forward line since the beginning of the transfer window, having already been linked with Liverpool's Fernando Torres and Wolfburg's Edin Dzeko.

Manchester United, however, have already bolstered their forward line with the signing of Mexican striker Javier Hernandez from Guadalajara on May 27, following the granting of a work permit.

Huntelaar made four appearances for the Dutch during their World Cup campaign, scoring the winning goal in their 2-1 group stages win over Cameroon at Green Point Stadium.

Shame its not Villa, but not really surprised.
He'd have been an expensive risk anyway.

Can't see it being Citeh; United seems a more likely destination.  I'm probably very much in the minority here but I would like Owen at Villa, on a pay as you play deal of course, but I think he's still got it at this level to score the goals we so clearly lack.

Carlos is playing a risky game. Though perhaps not as risky as his passing.

An egotist like MON could interpret that as being told what to do.

Still, if it means that CC doesn't play right back next year- due to MON taking the hint or just plain ostracising him altogether- it might just be worth it.

i don't want Cuellar being sent to the reserves really. He doesn't deserve it frankly as he's not a rightback and he knows it..  After young's treatment that would probably be the final straw to me.

Yep.

I'm also suprised at Huntelaar being at Manchester as I cant see him going to either Manchester team. Unless maybe Berbatov is off.
In which case, we'll have him.

Entering into the fifth season of our rebirth/ rebranding  under MON and RL, I'd have hoped that players like Joe Cole and Huntelaar might be semi-realistic targets.

Sad to see us linked with the kind of dross that we'd have probably turned our noses up at back in 2006.

In fairness, he did say "would" in a hypothetical way.
