As the old saying goes, when you're in a frying pan, your best option is the fire.

Run to Ironbridge and back this morning. Lovely views. Positively life affirming.

First full run for me today in 6 months as have been recovering from a knee injury. Have been doing ladder walk/runs for the past 6 -8 weeks and finally managed a full 5k with no walks or breaks today. Have entered a trail half marathon at the end of May so the training plan starts in earnest on Tuesday.

Hope the knee holds up. Got a few halfs booked in, before Chicago Marathon in October. Going to train for sub 3:50 after a horror show in Berlin last year.

I've been for a couple of jogs with my girlfriend. It's a slower pace than I usually run at and I find it quite an easy way of running further without straining anything. Surprisingly enjoyable actually instead of chasing the watch.

The weather! They had a freak heatwave that weekend, so being in the final group to leave we were running at midday in full sunshine and 27/28° heat. It was too brutal for me, especially after the autumn here had been quite cool and damp. Obviously it dropped to 12° with a light drizzle going home on Monday.
