Disaster struck last week with a severe case of tendonitis in my left achilles. Was making progress in running faster and looked like my average pace for a timed 30 minute effort would be well under 4:30 per km but now haven't run for a week as advised by physio so a week of gentle walking and some aggressive achilles massage has followed. I hate being injured.
Have a look at these. Getting good reviews most places I've seen.https://www.believeintherun.com/the-north-face-flight-vectiv-performance-review/
I’d go for a pair of New Balance with Vibram soles. Great straight out of the box and handle all terrain exceptionally well. And you’ll get hundreds of miles out of them. I’ve also got a pair of Salomon speed cross 5 but they’re very aggressive and I wouldn’t want to wear them for particularly long distances
In that case I’m sure the Salomon will be great. Hope it goes well!

Now to see if they're available in the UK.
