Another mediocre 49ers season I suspect.

Not a big NFL fan more a baseball fan but I do follow the Cowboys, one of my best mates lives in Irving right by Texas Stadium, he has lived there for about four years now and I go over twice a year, although of course I have a soft spot for the Browns.

Role on the 28/09 I have tickets for the Cowboy - Redskins game. My first NFL game, usually I go in the summer so I have only been able to catch the Rangers games in the past. Really looking forward to it.

Brady may be done for the season so cross the Pats off your list of Superbowl contenders

Meanwhile, "Number 4" had a good debut, Chad couldn't play under his new name due to contract problems with Reebok and there was a losing start for the Cleveland Villans

Patriots 0 - 4 in pre season play.

Four games is excessive. Its time that the NFL switched to just two pre season games and extended the regular season to 18

According to the Bears website their reporter was chatting to the NFL Commissioner (sp?) and he said they are considering that idea, first switching to 17 regular and 3 pre-season games, then 18 and 2.

However, no change is likely before 2010.

Anyway back to the main issue of the day...

What a win for DA BEARS!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and Adam, I listed 1897 twice on purpose BECAUSE we won the double you silly person. If Barry Fry can call finshing second in the Third Division and winning the Leyland Daft "Winning the Double" i'm sure the League and FA Cup are good enough!

Suddenly the Patriots look very vulnerable, Favre did have a good game for the Jets. Vince Young is injured for the Titans and the Jaguars have lost their 2 starting guards.

Anywho:- Chicago Bears 29 Indianapolis Colts 13

Easy, easy, easy!

Oh and anyone else think that the Rams could be the 'Derby County' of the NFL?    How apt.

Have to admit Aaron "Kenny" Rodgers looked pretty good... lucky I had him in my fantasy team cos the rest of them did fuck all!

Most of the AFC contenders either had their star injured (Pats), or lost (Colts, Chargers, Browns). Its already looking good for Pittsburgh in that Conference.

As early as week one though it looks like the Vince trophy will be heading back to the NFC. So long as its not to the Fudge Packers or "America's Team"  :smt078 I won't mind.

I am trying not to get too carried away by my Bears' opening day win. Now what odds will the bookmakers give me on Kyle Orton to be the League MVP?  8-[

They will have their work cut out to be worse than the Raiders, 41-17 at home to the Denver Donkeys FFS?

The two former LA teams should merge. They would of course be called... the Ramraiders!

I watched a bit of the Broncos Vs Raiders yesterday and they kept saying how good they thought the Broncos looked. They were playing the Raiders!!   Cutler and the Rookie Wide Receiver Royals did play well.

I'll give you 1'000-1 on Orton being the MVP

I thought they were awful to be honest.  I like their radio show, but they just don't suit doing live games.

That was Mike as in Ditka, rather than one of "Mike & Mike" (ie Greenberg and Golic).

You can't call Ditka an "old guy" he's one of the NFL's legends
