America's Team, innit. You can see why Dallas were on Wilson's list of preferred trade teams.

They do like their football in Texas and there's a lot of money there. https://geauxfootball.com/most-expensive-high-school-football-stadiums-to-see/

High School Football in Texas is ridiculous

I once attended a semi-final game of the Houston schools competition, so not even a state wide event.
It was held in the fricking Astrodome

Draft starts around about 1am.

I bet the Bears piss me off by drafting a WR. Unless Fields or Lance are still available around pick 15 and we can trade up, I'd like us to draft an OT.

There are 2 decent looking QBs that we may be able to get in Riund 2, Kellen Mond and Davis Mills.

Trade up and get a franchise QB, please. If they must stay at 20, get offensive line. WR and CB priorities but can wait for later rounds.

Could be a QB heavy First Round.

I swear that Mac Jones must be in his 30s by now. It seems like I've been hearing his name for years

They've already turned down a huge offer from the Niners. Would take something massive to persuade them to let go, I think. Maybe Seattle with Wilson going the other way. That would be a typical kick in the teeth for us Bears fans. Finally get rid of Rodgers out of the division to be replaced with another, younger, future Hall of Famer who we have chased all winter like a lovestruck stalker.

In other news, Tim Tebow, 33, may be making a comeback for the Jagwars to play tight end.

Not watched the Draft yet, but Broncos seem to be the ones after Rodgers.

Guessing Packers would get the 9th overall pick and 1sts in 2022 and 2023, plus maybe a player, like their young WR.

Plus Packers would have their original 1st rounder. Could maybe get someone like Fields or Lance at the no. 9 spot.

Rodgers also has the option of quitting the NFL and moving into full time TV gameshow hosting

There's a few teams where Mel Kiper can't understand what the hell they were playing at in the First Round, including usual suspects such as the Jets and my Raiders

For the first time ever, or at least for a while, delighted with the Bears' first round draft.

Was desperate for a QB. Thought we might get Mac Jones but was unsure about him. Thought we had a chance of Fields or Lance but would have to trade, probably, three first round picks and maybe a second rounder to get into the top five or six.

When Fields was still there at 11 I was begging for us to trade up and get him before New England.

Swapping 1st round picks and giving up next year's as well as two lower picks really doesn't seem that high a price if he turns out to be the long-awaited Bears franchise QB. And, if he doesn't, well we weren't gonna win the Super Bowl with Andy Dalton anyway, so worth a gamble rather than just accepting mediocrity.

I am totally ignorant on the draft, I find it impenetrable, espcially the trading logic.

I also don't watch College Football because all the teams seem to play in brown, orange or red. Such boring colours.
