That was a brilliant last ten seconds. Crazy scenes.

I was watching it on my phone on the train. It was like the 49ers morphed into Villa.

Is there much interest in the NFL over there? I've heard talk before about them maybe taking a regular season game to China, but never Japan.

Most big uni's have an American football team, and games are pretty well attended, but as for the NFL, not really. Baseball is still king, though football isn't far behind. Rugby probably now in third place.

All you'd need is a Japanese player to make it in the NFL, though, and it'd be flavour of the month.

Beginning to lose patience with Nagy and Pace. Teams like Baltimore and Denver have shown in the past you can win a Super Bowl if you have a great defense if the offense is, at least, vaguely competent.

Failing to even get to the playoffs is not good enough, and getting absolutely battered at home by a team that did, is pathetic. Lots of his play calls are mysterious (shovel passes on 4th and 23?) and all the trick plays that made us exciting last season have disappeared.

Given that we were a kick away from the Divisional Round last season, Nagy may get another year. I'd be interested to see if he can learn from this season's disasters.

But I wouldn't be devastated if I find out Nagy has been punted on Black Monday, with the bloke who surrendered draft picks for the privilege of taking Trubisky ahead of Mahomes following him out of the door.

Somehow the Raiders could still qualify for the Playoffs  :o

– Raiders beat Broncos in Denver
– Ravens beat Steelers at home
– Texans beat Titans at home
– Colts beat Jaguars in Jacksonville

This would leave a few teams on 8-8, with the Raiders winning the tie-breaks

Most difficult part of this scenario is the Raiders winning their own game

I think the more problematic bit will be that the Ravens and Texans will both be playing their backups.

Even is this happens you still need at least one of Da Bears, the Patriots, the Lions or the Chiefs to win. Patriots seem the best bet.

Think you will struggle to get both the Texans and Ravens winning, as they're likely to rest players.

Finished the regular season 13-3, but seldom looked like a team as good as that record.

Could do with a Seahawks victory tonight to get the No 1 seed in the NFC. Lambeau would be a leveller against teams I think are a level above us.

Sorry mate, I'll be cheering on the 49ers! Think the Seahawks will just pip them, though!
