He has. you had to punt, but then the penalty means you were back to first down.

Don't quite get the bit about the penalty being further back but yes, dead exciting. Absolutely no idea what's happening.

Basically, if there is a penalty (foul) the punishment is the attacking team move forward, or backwards depending which side fouled, by X amount of yards.
