It looks like the replacement refs got thro' last night without any major cock-ups.

Yeah it looked ok, but the final 5 minutes took forever... I do wish they could speed up the NFL somehow, too many commercials.

It surprises me that US TV channels pay so much for the rights to show NFL and MLB. They consider live sport to be "DVR/Tivo Proof"; however, I think that they're ideal for watching on Sky+ etc.

Even if you're at home when the game is one, just Sky+ it and then start watching about an hour into the broadcast.

In other news, the "Bounty-Gate" suspensions of the Saints players have been lifted my an internal NFL review panel and they are eligible for this weekend. However, the penalties could yet be re-instated by Goodell. The suspensions for coaches and management remain in place.

Watched about 5 minutes of the Ravens Vs Bengals after the Murray match. Ravens seemed to be coasting.

When was the last time that either the Browns or the Bengals won that division? Seems to always be between the Ravens and the Steelers.

Bengals won the division in 2009 when Ochocinco was still good. Surprised at how Bengals run defense wasn't that good, Ravens had a tough time with the running game against Cincinnati last season. Good to get off to a flying start like that looking good on both sides if the ball... And their touchdown was bullshit so even though its not a big deal after winning by so much it'd been nice to of had a "clean sheet" on the touchdown front.  Eagles next week away... Will be tough but they weren't great against the Browns. Reed and Webb look out for Vick to throw a pick six!

And the Chargers looked really good last night. Their defense looked improved already compared to last season although its only one game. I like Ingram, was a good draft pick for them to strengthen up their defense which had so many holes in it last season.

Just watched last nights highlights.

People joke about the lack of plays that a long-snapper is involved in, but if you want to see how important their role is just watch the Raiders v Chargers game.

My Raiders might just be shit enough this year to get a decent draft pick

I was surprised to get odds of 13/10 on Ravens to win the division.
