Still no real news on whether Sky will be showing the NFL this season.

Hi All,

There is not currently a deal in place for NFL on Sky Sports, but should one be concluded we would of course announce full details

Thanks,

Sky won't even say whether or not they're even trying to obtain the rights for 2012.

Have just gotten Sky, mainly with the NFL in mind.

Well, at the moment, that looks like is was a bit of a daft move.

I doubt that I'll be subscribing to the NFL Online package. I think that I'll just make do with whatever ESPN show, plus online highlights.
I very rarely sat down last season to what a whole game anyway.

I'm sure I read somewhere that channel 5 might be interested but having the slot that channel 4 had last year.

I think SKY will have similar to last year.  Annoying that they are leaving it to the last minute.

Not sure aboout ESPN.

The St Louis Rams have pulled out of their commitment to play a home game in London in 2013 and 2014

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8265779/st-louis-rams-drop-plans-play-london-2013-2014

Maybe a return to one of their former homes is on the cards ?

Or perhaps they've heard there will be no tv deal so don't see the "brand benefit" of playing the UK?

Bad news for Da Bears

http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/story/_/id/8268083/chicago-bears-brian-urlacher-undergoes-surgical-procedure-knee

He's still hopeful of making the season opener but I've heard tv/radio reports that he could miss up to half the season

NY Jets are staying at my hotel tonight and maybe all weekend for training camp, we are watching Lions v Ravens in the bar right now on Fox.  I have no idea who they are, lots of special team players though.

On a separate note, anyone want to buy a Jets play book?  They're lying around the bar here like magazines in a barbers shop.

For fuck's sake we're due some luck with injuries after last season.

Do we have the same physio as the Villa?

Jaguars set to replace the Rams in London from 2013

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8286397/report-jacksonville-jaguars-play-multiple-home-games-london-starting-2013

If a team was ever to move completely to London, my money would be on Jacksonville. A certain car company could become the main sponsors and the team wouldn't even have to change their nickname.

I hope that Mike Carlson reduces his level of "couldn't be more open if...................." crappy jokes this season

Still nothing official regarding Sky but there are rumours that a deal has been done.

Aww, I love Mike Carlson, with his "the Tory you can support" and "going high, not in a Ricky Williams sense" jokes.
