OBJ has lost the plot
How did he not get ejected?

It takes a hell of a lot to get sent off / ejected from a NFL game

True, but running 10 yards to blindside someone with a headshot with your helmet should be more than enough.

National news over here that Morten Andersen was inducted onto the Saint's ring of honour at the Superdome before the Detroit game.

Not just the sports news.  The main BBC/ITV equivalent bulletins.

I can remember the days when he was pretty much the only decent player in Louisiana.

My fantasy team is into the Super Bowl, think I'm underdog though. Could do with the Panthers resting Newton to give me a chance.

Bears vs Old Bears this Sunday.

Watched the Chargers @ Raiders "highlights" this afternoon. Two thoughts.

1..Have there ever been more penalties in a game ?

2..Has there ever been a more boring overtime "thriller" ?

Caught the end of regulation time on that one. It really doesn't look like the Pats of recent years, but then they're still missing Edelman.

Watched the Packers @ Cardinals game afterwards. Talk about a blowout.

That Pats coin toss cockup was Villa-esque in its incompetence

Belichik's explanation is sensible up to a point.

Apart from giving possession away to an offence that you've been hit and miss against all game is just as big a gamble as giving the ball to your own offence that's just marched down the field against the odds and had actually had New York's defence looking a little unbalanced for the first time.

I think he did it to screw the Steelers.

Steelers still have a decent shot at the play-offs, think they get in if they win their last match (against the Browns I think), whilst the Jets have a tricky trip to Buffalo to play a division rival.

Kind of hoping that the Steelers don't get in, as Offence heavy teams always get more favourable media coverage than Defensive units.

You have to wonder is Coughlin will retire at the end of this season.
