No asking for tickets, just put your ideas on how to there and get in.

I took a gamble and booked Hotel and Flights weeks ago, no idea if I have any chance of getting tickets.
Be interested to hear of any Bars to watch the game in Istanbul. Will have a great couple of days sightseeing.
Wonderful City.

I’m the same, all booked but not confident of getting a ticket. Assuming there will be a big screening of it somewhere.

We booked some time ago. Stansted 00:20 on the 19th and return in the 21st. Still plenty of seats available but prices have shot up and about £780.
Sounds like tickets will be total pot luck.

So that category 3 is a bit of a ballot bun fight for tickets. Members/Season ticket holders. I’d be confident if it were just season tickets holders. Ah well let the fun begin

The UEFA ticket allocation has been finalised, and Aston Villa have received a limited General Admission allocation of 10,758 seats, which includes disabled and easy access areas, and some with a restricted view.

Eligible Group 1
25/26 Season Ticket Holders, Hospitality Season Ticket Holders and GA+ Season Ticket Holders who attended 12 or more Europa League matches during the 2025/26 season.

Those supporters that have pre-registered their interest and fit into Group 1 will be sent a UEFA Unique Code that will allow access to the UEFA portal. They will have an exclusive window from 10am until 2pm on Monday 11th May to purchase their ticket.

Supporters in this Group are guaranteed the opportunity to purchase a match ticket, provided that they purchase in the exclusive window.

You're also guaranteed a ticket with 8 Europa League games.

Will go with Catevory 3 I reckon, as that's likely behind the goal.

Edit: it says form, but its actually purchasing a ballot slot for the codes. Unless I have missed something.

So I’ve registered an interest for 4 tickets all with 7 game history. Does that now give us 4 goes in the ballot as a group or one as I’m the individual who had “ordered” them all?

Cannot go myself but isn't it worth looking at flights to somewhere like Ankara at a fraction of the cost and then getting a train up to Istanbul ?

Yes 4 goes in the ballot but if anyone's successful it'll be there Fan ID that gets the ticket.

Rough calculation, there will be a max of 20,000 eligible in Group 3 for 7,000 tickets... How many will be able/want to go of that 20,000? Probably less than you think.

10 days notice?
£700+ flights
£100 tickets

Surely much less than 20k attended 7+ matches?

3k probably attended at least 1 away match, leaving 7,000 tickets for those who attended 7 matches.

I'd guess 10k attended all 7 home matches, so a a decent chance of being successful in the ballot

Unfortunately  the stadium is the size of villa park so they will give a signf amount to corporate which sucks balls thats why i never understand  why they dont do finals in the bigger stadiums

At the risk of being incredibly thick, it says “ballot entry”. Luckily we’re in Cat 1, but I thought they said the ballot was for Cat 3?

Is that all we do for now and then the Villa ticket office super-computer sorts out which Fan ID’s go into which category?

Then we can only use the same phone for using the UEFA portal, so I’d have two tickets for me and my lad on my phone? No pressure there then!

Conference League final is in a bigger stadium then this one. The trouble is they go all around Europe and some stadiums are bigger then others. Bilbao for last seasons final was 50k+. Next seasons CL final is 70k so we should have enought tickets for that one.

No as this ballot with the Villa is about access codes.

I have used mine as a Group 1 and two other season ticket holders in the family who are at group 3 for example. I'll get a code Monday, the other 2 will go in the ballot.

That code let's me access the UEFA ticket portal so I can get my ticket. If for example there were 4 of us in Group 1 on Monday  then even though you cannot choose where you sit, you can get groups of 6 seats together.

It is what they stated in that link. All you are getting is a code to enter into the UEFA ticket app to get your ticket to appear. And if in the ballot, one to enter in the UEFA web page to get a ticket ballot entry.

If you bought the Maccabi ticket but didn't go, I suspect they might count it due to them being fine for stewards not to go. If you didn't buy one or resold it I think you might in the third.

Registered this morning and I think it said those in Categories 1 and 2 are guaranteed a ticket.  I'm category 3 as I went to all tje home games, but not an away one, so will be in the ballot.  Can't complain about the categories to be honest as they seem fair, just a shame it's not at a bigger ground so we could have had a bigger allocation.

The club really should have arranged something inside VP. Did it occur to them ? Is there some logistical reason to prevent this ? For the many tens of thousands of us who are unable to go to Istanbul, watching it inside the ground is far preferable to if you have it on TV at home, any pub anywhere, or any fanzone which may (although I doubt it) get set up somewhere else around the city.

Signed in and even deleted and reloaded app just in case. I have season ticket and 7 attendances so can register but button is still greyed out. Not much chance anyway tbh. I think there are merits in the consecutive season ticket years as I’d be a shoo in with 44 years but sadly such loyalty is now discounted and almost considered stupidity  :(

I did see that and thought "that isn't too bad initially" and then realised the shared box was the same price and was all sold out so realised it would have to be multiple people in them, just didn't want to find out how many at that point.

In the PSR age - its seems a no brainer 3.5k x £5 seems a missed opportunitity when you could probably do 15k x £10 to add to the bottom line.

Logistically we'll have played our last game - but even if thats not the case - there are all the hospitality zones they could also host in.

Clearly - Im annoyed by the fact I missed the email til it was too late - but I wouldnt have been the only one

I dont understand why they dont show it at the stadium - spurs did last year.  Feels like a real opportunity missed.  3.5k x £5 - think one way or another they could do 10 times that.

Agree.  Big screen in front of the Holte would have been a decent consolation for nor being there.

They’ve definitely counted the Maccabi tickets as my mate purchased them but didn’t go and is in the ballot.

There’s no way of knowing this yet, we only find out when or if the code gets sent on Monday

No that’s not correct as you couldn’t register interest unless you had minimum 7. My mate purchased all 7 home games but didn’t physically go to Maccabi. I’ve been able to link his account to my application and put us all in for the ballot. I tried to do the same for another lad who’d only been to five and it rejected his. Therefore they must be counting the Maccabi game even if you didn’t use your ticket. .

God i hope the fans dont get as much aggro as the fenebache  game. It was a nightmare  for the villa lads that flew out fir that game
I went out on the Monday and spent 5 days in Istanbul and saw no hint of any bother. In fact had a cracking week and can't wait to go back.

Would Demitri be referring to the coaches hours before ko and the long lock in afterwards? I’m only going on what I heard, you may know in greater detail if you were there.

Seems that the North stand redevelopment is the reason for no big screen in the stadium for the final. Shame, but understandable.

Will likely watch it in Hickory’s in Wall Heath if there are any Villains in the Kingswinford area who can’t go and are looking for a venue to watch it.

I live 5 minutes walk away but will be in Turkey. I've never watched a match in there it always strick me as an American Football and Rugby sort of place.

I assume he was, but part of that was keeping the European fans in the European side of Turkey. The match takes part in that side this time. The Police will probably be twats because they are used to having twatty fans with some of the rivalries over there but I suspect if we won, our fans won't mind being kept in for several hours after the FT.

Ditto. There was no “aggro” at all. In fact, it destroyed a few myths. The locals were friendly, our hotel manager was a ST holder there and got us a Fenerbahce key ring before we left. Can’t wait to go back once we’ve got over the stress of actually getting the tickets!

It’s not really a place for watching football but it’s good for big games if you want a more family vibe, plenty screens and I have family who work there so can ensure the sounds on etc. They’ll be a dozen or so of us young and old so the slighter calmer atmosphere suits us.

A massive thanks to Dave Woodhall, I logged onto here around midnight after the game and saw the thread saying UEFA were selling prime tickets. Thought I’d take a look and managed to get two, over the moon as I think I’d struggle with our allocation.

For anyone else who has purchased through UEFA, have you downloaded the app and do the tickets or a record of the tickets show? I’ve got the email and the eye watering invoice but it hasn’t pulled through to the app although I’m guessing it might be a bit early.

I’m also flying from Heathrow on Tuesday at 22:40 and then back via Copenhagen on Thursday morning. Taking my 9 year old and he doesn’t know how good he’s got it.

Even more complicated I got  two tickets in March through UEFA. Work updated my phone in April and the UEFA app now says it is a different phone so I will have to go to stadium on the Wednesday morning with passport to get tickets sorted. I have emailed them and all seems in order. 11 more sleeps

12 of us with more money than sense could have a 'sky box' for €1290 each.

We’re looking at this. It says minimum 12, we’ve got 4 of us (possibly a 5th) up for it. If anyone would be looking to split then let me know 👍

The tickets aren't allocated yet; I presume they'll arrive via email early in the week. On the website there's an option to add someone else's reference and they'll try to sit you together. It's expensive but you've got a ticket so no more worries and I doubt Uefa wil scam us.

Loads of cool stuff to do, it’s a brilliant city. If you’ve never been and just have one day suggest Hagia Sophia, grand bazaar, ferry to Asia and back, and the underground cisterns (as featured in From Russia with Love!) maybe Topkapi Palace too if you can fit it in. All roughly in the same area and walkable.

12 of us with more money than sense could have a 'sky box' for €1290 each.

We’re looking at this. It says minimum 12, we’ve got 4 of us (possibly a 5th) up for it. If anyone would be looking to split then let me know

send you a DM

A bit short notice for me to organise an overpriced ticket dont fancy the Alcohol free fan zone.
I was at our first game in Istanbul, way back in the day
I hope the natives are a bit friendlier then back then
So it is the comfort of the TV for me
Safe travels for all that are going and bring back the cup.

Just looking at last year's season ticket renewal advert and it still says season tickets holders get priority cup tickets as a benefit, how are they getting away with that nonsense still 🤣

Members and STHs with all home games are the same criteria. I've long accepted they don't care about STHs but at least remove that bullshit from next year's advert.

100% agree with you. I’m guaranteed one but won’t be happy if my lad doesn’t get one based on that criteria. I’ll give him my’n if that’s the case but if I’m stood there in Istanbul watching it on a large screen and we win it, I’ll be as happy as anyone else.

Yeah i'm going over regardless as well. Think we need a revamp of ticketing priority, points based maybe that includes all due to the growing demand but this isnt the thread I suppose!

We're in Category 3, so I suspect there's probably a 1 in 4 chance we get tickets. I don't agree with the criteria but I'm assuming we'll find out tomorrow or Tuesday morning.

We're going via Edinburgh on Tuesday to Friday. I believe tickets are only available via the UEFA site with a code from them. With ID checks at the stadium I'd be very wary of buying from resale sites.

Tel aviv game was only 29k, say there's usually 3k away fans, that still leaves about 10k people who didnt buy a ticket for that game. Could help us!

My assumption is you'll be notified just before you are eligible. The window to register interest only closed at 5pm.

The windows are
1. Mon 10am - 2pm,
2. Mon 2.30pm - Tues 9.30am
3. Tues 10am - Weds 5.pm

Talking to an Arsenal season ticket holder and they have to do exactly the same process as us - register for the ballot by Sunday evening and find out Monday night if they are successful
Interesting that in the 3rd ballot no mention of GA+ season ticket holders, are they all guaranteed a ticket for the final?

Title: Re: Istanbul travel and ticket information

I would think so, I assume the ballot will only allocate enough codes for the tickets available.

I would think there's a lot of people who entered the ballot who will actually not actually go ahead and buy a ticket.  I assume there will be a second ballot to mop those up?

It'll be one ticket per ballot winner I would have thought
So a Father with a ten year old Son enters both into the ballot, the Son gets picked but the Father doesn't.

It would make more sense if they both got selected, but it is UEFA, so I'd expect it to be more convoluted than necessary.
Title: Re: Istanbul travel and ticket information
Post by: Somniloquism on May 11, 2026, 09:33:16 AM
The code is for the UEFA ticketing system and no money will be processed by the club, althought it sounds like they will be shared data so they can see if the codes were used and the purchase details of who bought a ticket after being assigned a code. So everyone should be getting a code.

There will probably be stories telling me different but I suspect a code for an adult with a linked child will only be sent to the adult for both and they wouldn't send one to a 10 year old only.

The father should get the ticket, as the child requires at least 20/30 years of hardship before witnessing us win a cup. It’s in the terms and conditions

The category of ticket is mapped out in colour, so we sort of have half. I went with category 3 green and behind the goal. Most expensive category reds are on the sides.

Is anyone else playing the Group 3 waiting game? Is anyone going without a ticket?

We are flying from Stansted, and staying in the Aston Hotel, as my mate said it was a sign (he also didn't mind the price!).

I'm hating not knowing what is going on with the ballot. I keep looking at the tickets on Ticombo, and can see the number available has been rising today, as is the average price.

There’s four of us also playing the Cat 3 waiting game, going from Stansted and also staying at the Aston Hotel. The hotel is sold out now so id imagine it’ll be full of Villa fans. We booked it back in January.

...It's like I'm looking in a mirror!

I did wonder if you were one of my group as we are also from Tamworth 🤣.

It sounds like all the seats are being allocated after they're all sold.

To be fair to UEFA the process was rather easy.
The ability to seat with others after securing your seat was useful.

If only such attention to detail was given to investigating financial irregularities, implementation of VAR etc the game would be much better off!

I was waiting from around 2:15 when I got the link, and was then able to get in about 2:35 so expect there is a queuing mechanism it just doesn’t give you the place in the queue.

I assume the restricted view seats are just like the ones in Villa Park, where you might have part of an exit handrail etc. in the way - it's not really a problem.

Unlikely, the window for group 2 is open until tomorrow so until that closes it’s not known how many tickets to assign in the ballot.
Title: Re: Istanbul travel and ticket information
Post by: Somniloquism on May 11, 2026, 05:23:01 PM
They will have a known amount to assign out and unlike windows 1-2, it will be the bulk of them so the draw/contacting might have already started with the final ones being the ones not purchased by Group 2 ready for the ones to be assigned out in the 30 mins between sales windows.

Who are you looking at getting it through? Ticombo offer money back guarantee if the ticket doesn’t work.

As I understand it, the UEFA-sold tickets are based on category, not block, and you won’t know which part of the stadium you are in until the tickets are sent out the week of the game.

So I would avoid any claiming to be Villa end, as I’m not sure how they can know.

Does anyone here in cat 1 or 2 who has bought a ticket know which block its going to be in?
Title: Re: Istanbul travel and ticket information

There was nothing else to choose other than the category and absolutely no idea which end or where in the ground except that it was in Villa fan section.

Post by: Dogtanian on May 11, 2026, 08:13:17 PM
Yeah, so it’s pot-luck buying the UEFA resale ones as they won’t know where they are, either.

So any claiming they’re in the Villa end are either misleading, or they are from Villa’s allocation and may have a higher risk of being voided… and of course, are morally unacceptable!

Yes. Very good process, clear and quick. One thing that got me when about to select was Fans First cat. What's Fans First all about? Those tickets were cheap but I still purchased a cat 2 just in case Fans First required some other entitlement.

Low down right Behind the goal!

I locked in flights around the time of the Bologne game, 2 night hotel on the doorstep of Taksim Square, and a Fan First ticket (where hopefully a lot of the other regular away following are sitting, so that we don't end up with another Wembley semi final atmosphere debacle!) - All in all, £530. Don't panic just yet - this is the biggest group and they will have had to conduct the ballot first, so I reckon the codes will be sent in batches over next couple of hours.  If you get one then you should have until 5pm tomorrow to buy the ticket (so theoretically people might still be able to buy tickets at that point even if unsuccessful in this ballot).

My mates and I were in Group 1 yesterday and getting our tickets at the same time so couldn't link them...order number only applied after the transaction was completed.
Any ideas about how we might be able to link them now?

Ticket bought! Just off to go through with my mate to get his so we can link em.

Annoyingly, I had a panic on Saturday and spent obscene money on reseller tickets, in case I didn't get Villa ones.  >:(

Can’t you just resell them again?

I'm in the same position (based on the fact I have never won anything in a raffle!); I bought a ticombo ticket on Friday morning and now I've got lucky on the ballot.

I just rang Ticombo on 020 36087938 and she said my options are:

1. To contact the seller, ask him to cancel the transaction and then he can put it up for re-sale and I can demand a refund of the ticket price I paid. I would need to receive confirmation from the seller so that I can forward that to Ticombo as proof of the agreement.

2. Wait for the ticket to arrive and then put it up for re-sale on Ticombo myself.

Any advice on these options would be gratefully received. UTV.

Yes go to the UEFA ticket portal where your ticket is and you can still do it!

Yeah, the issue I think with reselling is that you can't transfer them on unless you are the original buyer.

So I am going to message the guy and explain the situation, if not then I can relist them and ask him to send the ticket to the new buyer when he gets them next week.

Mine came through at 10.08hrs, a few's minutes after my younger son's. Two Category 3 tickets now purchased, and linked. Really pleased for him as, having been born in 1992, first game at Villa Park in 1994, he's never seen us win anything. Elder son and partner haven't heard anything yet.

Praying that everyone on here who's still waiting is successful.

I guess it's because UEFA sold all categories to the general public, and any ticket from them is technically neutral.

We don't know, but if you're using someone elses code, your choices are use your name and run the risk of the club not cross checking or use their name and just hope you can skip any ID checks at the stadium.

I can't see them checking 40k IDs, but I guess there's a risk.

As an aside, is it normal practice to have to take your passport to away Euro games?

I haven't missed a Euro game yet and it's always been a bit different...some haven't bothered at all, some you had to show passport when you collected ticket at venue (clearly not happening for this one), in Bologna every ticket had date of birth which was checked against passport....so YES and NO, depending on the demands of the venue.
Makes passing tickets on (almost) impossible!
But I'm sure some of the smarter fans out there know a way!

Valid original ID. You will need to present it at the Ticketing Centre should you experience any issues with your match ticket or if requested to by police. Accepted forms of ID are: Passport, Turkish Residential Card, National ID Card and Driving Licence. 🪪"

I would chance it if you're in a position when you can use someone elses code.  Better you get stopped at the gate than they get banned by Villa (IF Villa do crosschecks)

Season ticket holder who has been to all the home games since we got back into Europe, but didn't get a code.  No problems with the first two categories, could argue the third might have been a little unfair as it included memberships along with season tickets and only counted Europa League games, but there you go.

Hope they can find a way of having a big screen at Villa Park, as that would be the next best thing to going to the game.

I wouldn't be surprised if part of the thinking is to encourage attendance in the European games.

Lots of season ticket holders didn't go, certainly round us, and attendances have been down. So by rewarding the non-season ticket holders, they may think they are encouraging these to take up the slack when the ST holders don't come.
Title: Re: Istanbul travel and ticket information
Post by: cdbearsfan on May 12, 2026, 12:36:11 PM
All it does is encourages season ticket holders to buy tickets for matches that they know they will be unable to attend, which is crap for those who struggle to get tickets, especially with the reduced capacity next year.
Title: Re: Istanbul travel and ticket information
Post by: Dogtanian on May 12, 2026, 12:38:12 PM
Well we know they are tracking whether you attend or not now, so who knows what they will do with that.

But if they get the money in for an otherwise empty seat, are they going to care?

Yeah, seen they have said that, but hoping they might reconsider and find a way to do it.  I don't know anything about major construction projects, but surely putting it back less than a week wouldn't make a massive difference.  It hasn't impacted them holding something at the Warehouse, which is directly behind the stand in question either.

That's a fair point CD

I've got mixed feelinga bout the ballot categories.  My initial reaction was that I was a bit shocked.  But we've had a waiting list for 7 years.  There's a fair chance members who went to all the Euro home games will have been to lots of league games too and probably most would snap up a season ticket if offered one.  At what point does a member who goes to most games (paying more for tickets) deserve to be treated like a ST holder?

Maybe they could have said all Euro home games AND 10+ league games?

Still felt like a bit of a kick in the balls though.  And makes me wonder where we stand for domestic cup games in the future.

From memory, they prioritised memberships in some way for the FA Cup semi-final last year as well didn't they?  Guess they want to try and get as many memberships sold as possible.  Not in anyway having a dig at the folks with memberships, as I'd imagine the large majority of them attend most of the games anyway.  Doubt there would have been many at all who would just have paid for a membership and only gone to all of the home Europa games.

Luckily I got a ticket but I do think we need a better priority system going forward, I said it earlier but a points based one maybe based on overall attendance over the last few years? Or something anyway.

Do I think as a season ticket holder who attended every home Europa Leage game that I should have priority over season ticket holder who hasn’t attended every Europa League game or member who has or hasn’t attended every Europa League game? Absobloodylutely I do but at the end of day UEFA are the ultimate scumbags staging such a big game at such a small ground with pathetic ticket allocations

Possibly not the right time to be saying this, and apologies if I'm spouting something that has been discussed elsewhere, but to lump ST holders who go home and away domestically (and have a full house of home euro games) in with members in cat 3 seems extremely harsh to me.  I'm hoping the club's back office system would have picked this up when selecting people in the ballot?

This is the first time I have used them, but I can share what I found.

Ticombo I believe is the only site that offers a 100% refund should the ticket not turn up, not be as advertised, or not work on the day. I believe that the seller can't access the money until 5 days after the event, so you have time to claim if there are any issues.

You can see reviews of the seller on there, and you can see how long they have been on the platform, and how many sales they have made. So you can make sure you buy from someone with a good, long-term history.

With the UEFA tickets, the buyer receives all the tickets they have purchased to their UEFA app. They can then transfer each of them to another person's UEFA app to use on the day. Only the buyer of the tickets can transfer to another person, so you can't then transfer it on yourself.

As far as I can see, all the tickets are mobile tickets, so avoid any offering paper tickets or anyone asking you to meet up or collect them. There shouldn't be any need for that with a legitimate UEFA ticket resold by the original purchaser.

Ticombo also offers additional insurance you can take out at a price, which I believe gives you more options to get a refund.

They are expensive, as Ticombo's fees are pretty high. But I felt that the ability to see seller history and the refund guarantee gave more comfort.

Agree on the season ticket holder bit, but it's impossible to get an away ticket for games so those who can't attend away games are being punished, wouldn't it just be easier just to say season ticket holders only and based on the home games including cup matches in the  allocation for cup final tickets

Hi

Sorry if it's been covered.  We haven't managed to get tickets in the ballot and are considering the resellers - Ticombo has been mentioned.

Anyone got advice on how reliable they are and how the Id checks are covered.

I've called them and they said the seller transfers the ticket via the Uefa site.

Does this sound right?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

Really appreciate that information.  Thanks.

I think the main concern is the the transfer of the tickets on the day itself which leaves little time to sort any issues that may arise.

Yeah, that isn't ideal, but it looks like all the tickets are only sent out in the days leading up to the game.

You have to have proof of purchase to list a ticket for sale, though.

Out of curiosity, did you do the register interest together or separately?

I just wondered, because I registered for both me and my mate, and the time on our code emails were the same. It may just be coincidence, but made me wonder if they did any grouping.

I entered the ballot before the semi finals took place. I didn't win but not everyone who won took the option to purchase so i was given the chance. I snapped up two tickets. I've just had the email and app notification telling me i've got my tickets. I can now see which block i'm in and seat number.

With regards to the allocation of the tickets for the Final, I don't think anyone will ever come up with the perfect system to allocate fairly as we all have different circumstances that maybe restricts us from attending all the games if had the chance

I was a member for lots of years and whilst being first in line to get a seat, it was at a great expense at times, for Cat A games, it was nearly double the price of an ST seat, so I do believe that Members should have some potential access to high profile tickets, probably not as much as it sounds like for this one

I did gain from this last season as I was able to obtain a Wembley SF final ticket as I had attended all the Cup games, not that I actually agreed with it at the time, although i'm sure that  all last seasons ST's would have got a ticket for this due to the allocation size, so not as much of an issue

I was able to get an ST for this season and now ironically missed out even being able to enter the Ballot due to only being on 6 Europa matches, even including Feyenoord

I think the main issue is not being told at the beginning of the season how potential finals will be allocated, I chose to miss the Bologna group game as I had seen them the previous year and YB due to the kick off time. If I had known from the start that this would affect it dramatically, I probably would have made different choices

It would have been good to also have known how many people qualified for each category so that we could manage our expectations

Anyway, not to worry, i'll still be in Istanbul with a ticket courtesy of Ticombo

Forest fan here, I come in peace! I was successful in the UEFA ballot and I have 2 tickets for sale for the final. However I have tried to sel them on Ticombo (who seem a good site BTW) and I have discovered that the ticket which I purchased in my name cannot be transferred. I had arranged a sale with a Villa fan (who was a great bloke and very understanding of my mistake), but this had to be cancelled as he wanted both tickets.

So I definitely have 1 ticket for sale as I can transfer this no problem, and if anyone know how to circumvent the UEFA restrictions there is possibility of another (but I cant see way around this).

If anyone on this site is interested please let me know. Tickets have just been released by UEFA so they are in my wallet. This is a genuine post

There'll be a lot of fans in the same boat. Hopefully manage to organise something between us.

ART, from reading the UEFA website, you're right about not being able to transfer the ticket in your name, it seems the best you can do is to put it up for resale with UEFA - at least that way you'll get your money back.

Your problem makes me wonder how there are so many tickets popping ip for sale via resale sites.

PS - can we have Elliot Anderson? Promise we'll treat him kindly.

believe me I tried to find a way around it but I couldn't find one. I did wonder how so many other people had more than 1 ticket to sell, but maybe they are professional sellers and have a way around it. I am just an individual seller, and dont normally do this so I am a bit stuck.

So 1 ticket still up for grabs if you know of anyone who wants to go, Its in the Cat 1 area of ground, upper tier, half way mark

Yes i've been on the ST wating list for 5 years now and attend most home league games and attended all Europa league games. I would expect to get same category as a ST holder who also attended 7 Europa games and most/all league games.

And definitely above a ST holder who didn't attend all 7 home Europa League games.

I'm seeing a lot of posts elsewhere from people who are miffed at not getting a ticket for the final, despite holding a season ticket through the Championship and circling-the-drain years.

Of course, those who have gone to the European games, and the away games deserve first dibs, but I'd hope that when it came to the ballot some sort of preference was given to those with season ticket longevity over someone, for instance, who jumped on board more recently.

Not for me, as that's just age discrimination. It isn't a teenager's fault if their parents didn't take them to games years ago. It should just be season tickets holders who have attended the most non-ST games, on a sliding scale, then STs, then Members who have attended the most games if there are any left. And domestic cups should be treated same as Europe, attending one European game isn't better than doing three cup matches. Arbitrary nonsense.

I've had a ST for donkeys years but now don't stand a chance of getting an away ticket so resigned myself to not getting one for this.

I'm pretty relaxed about it, there was always going to be plenty of supporters who 'deserved' a ticket but weren't going to get one, and there were only so many 24 hour slots until the game itself so having too many tiers was never going to work.

I'd have been more pissed off a few years ago mind, when the convoluted travel arrangements wouldn't have put me off.

I'm in the same scenario, I've been a season ticket holder since the mid 80's, my Son who's 32 has had one since he was 5. He's never seen us win anything. His mate, who's a great lad, buys a membership & attends a handful of games, gets the same chance & the good fortune of being picked. Our biggest game in 42 years & we won't be there. That is wrong, no matter how you look at it.

I'm fortunate that I could afford to pay the 30 times face value the resale sites are asking for a ticket. But it's immoral & I won't do it out of principle. UEFA & our own club has fucked us over & it's going to take a while for me to forget that.

And I've just had a go!

Exactly mate. No way a member should have the same chance as a season ticket holder if they both attended the same Europa matches. One stumps up best part of a grand the other less than a ton. Disgraceful decision from the club.

A mate of mine is a season ticket holder and has been to all the Europa home games and he's heard nothing. He even reserved a seat on the charter flight. Feel for all those in the same boat.

There's every chance a member has spent more on going to games at VP this season than a ST holder has.

Are you paying about £1k?

Looks like £1100 in the region of on Ticombo. God it's so much money that I don't have but still really tempted.

Maybe but a season ticket holder shells out around a grand before a ball is kicked. Loyalty like that should be valued.

I’d hang fire until the cat 3 window closes before buying elsewhere, as there’s a chance some may come up. Heard rumours online that people were still getting ballot codes into the late afternoon.

I’ve seen the odd one in the £850 range tbf but very very few. I’ve been monitoring it regularly throughout the week.

Although you’re covered, the risk is getting to the stadium and finding out it’s fake. Getting your money back isn’t compensation at that point.

I was lucky enough to get a ticket. Easy enough process to purchase. Booked flight and hotel via World Choice Sports. Expensive but hotel just over a mile from ground. Looking forward to it now.

The club may be hampered by UEFA on how many categories they can do as it's such a short turnaround from qualifying to codes. From what I saw Palace is just a free for all to any ST or member with no game requirements. Arsenal had 2 windows.

In keeping with the Season Ticket or Members divide. I predict someone who uses Goodyear tyres will win it,  not a bonified hanook customer. The Goodyear-Member splitters!

I do feel for both of you. If I'd not got a ticket for this game I'd have been feeling pretty crushed by it, and definitely questioning all those years of buying season tickets, doing the home cup games and occasional away games, not to mention all the two-bob-bit games I used to go to when I was much younger (Football League Centenary, random short-lived cup competitions, etc).

Sorry, I meant was there a particular seller? Never even heard of that site before today so quite nervous about dropping so much money on it.

I've paid through the nose for a ticket so if  I get a code this late it's very poor.

I was the only one in our lot without a ticket, so didn't want to be on my own waving every other fucker off to the stadium, it would've broken my heart.

I did see a tweet from AVFC support that said all codes had been sent, and that was this morning?

I was lucky enough to get one, as an ST holder with 8 Europa games this season - 6 at home, (skipped the Tel Aviv one), and 2 away.

My only question back for people who feel extremely hard done by at not getting a ticket for the final despite being an ST holder and going to all 7 home games, is that there are ST holders who are willing to travel overseas from group stage games etc, whereas for a final many many more are suddenly happy to travel that weren't in earlier rounds.

I don't agree with members being in this category of 7+ with ST holders, but even if they weren't I suspect not all ST holders with 7 games would have got one.

No, I’ve used them twice now, different sellers both times, had no issues so would recommend it
