Coventry away please.
Coventry away please.
Already gone mate.
Haha just seen their result.Doh
Coventry away please.
Already gone mate.
Chipsticks I was exactly your age when I saw them win it. For a million reasons i want us to win it but most all for you youngsters who have never seen it lifted aloft by one of ours.
When is the draw.
Cheers.When is the draw.
Live on ITV1 tomorrow at about 5:20ish after the Peterborough v Sunderland game.
It feels strange going into a Cup draw knowing we can't draw blackburn.
It feels strange going into a Cup draw knowing we can't draw blackburn. But the red side of Manc/Essex are still technically in the hat (until they get beat tomorrow).
Someone shit at home.
Crawley at home please and then stick fifteen past the c***s.
I fucking hate Crawley and I fucking hate Steve 'c***' Evans.
Blues away please. Definately another live tv slot.
I don't understand why some people want the hassle of playing Small Heath away. It would'nt bother me if we never played them again. We don't need to beat them again, we've done it enough times.
someone crap at home
Why are we number 7? Where is our usual 2 ball?
It will be manure away.

Alphabet seems to go out the window after round 3 - full draw numbers here (http://www.thefa.com/TheFACup/News/2012/Jan/fa-cup-4th-round-draw.aspx)
Blues away please. Definately another live tv slot.Have some thought for those who have to go to the game.
Aston Villa FC v Martin O'Neills Sunderland FC
feeling in my water its going to be Sunderland......away obviously.
Link to watch online, anyone please?ITV player?
The draw is guaranteed to include the words "will play number 7, Aston Villa".
Cov away Please.
Shut the fuck up Rosenthal, you mangle-faced cock end.
GET ON WITH IT
oooops!Cov away Please.
Have a job as they were knocked out yesterday!
Aren't we unbeaten at The Emirates?
So that means, we'll get a draw, and they'll do us at Villa Park.
Either of the Nottingham clubs away would be great. I think we'll get Arsenal at home.
who did the shit getSheffield utd away if they get past wolves.
Stevenage at home will do. But I think we will get a tough away draw like Southampton, or more likely the winner of the mancwankfest.

Dream is over for another year then- no way will we beat arsenal!
Dream is over for another year then- no way will we beat arsenal!
Righty-ho, if it's Arsenal, let's not throw in the towel like at Citeh last year, let's have a go. They'll inevitably rest a few players. so let's be positive.
There's no Citeh, one of Man Utd and Liverpool will be out, let's get rid of Arsenal and all of a sudden it starts to be a more winnable competition.
Dream is over for another year then- no way will we beat arsenal!
Imagine it'll be on the box...think the four tv games (assume it'll be at least that many) will be Arse/Leeds v us, Lpool v Man U, QPR/Dons v Chelsea, Brighton v Newcastle.

If you count Southampton as a tough away draw, you had a 50% chance of being right!
"The question rattling around the sports desk right now: should Birmingham and Wolves be allowed to replay their game, or should they both be thrown out of the FA Cup for crimes against football?"
From The Guardian. Gotta chuckle.
Assuming that Arsenal progress to the 4th round, then we will be entitled to an allocation of 9,000 tickets at the Emirates.
Do Arse do reasonable ticket prices for cup games?
Time for Randy to wheel out the free coaches.
The easiest team possible away from home.
It's definitely winnable, whoever we play. I still wish it was Stevenage at home though.
Do Arse do reasonable ticket prices for cup games?
Just looked at their website. They are charging cat b prices for the cup which is about £35

That's against a championship side though. I would suggest looking at what the league game is set at.
Match ticket pricing at Emirates Stadium is based on the principle of an A and B grading, as follows: Category A fixtures: Chelsea, Liverpool, Man United, Man City, Tottenham.
All remaining Premier League games will be category B as will the majority of FA Cup, UEFA Competitions and Carling Cup matches. However, there will be some specific matches which will be designated as Category A. Details will be communicated at the appropriate time.

Looking at the ties, I don't think ITV would want to exclude Arsenal and the chance for Clive Titsley to shout "Henriiiiiiiiiiii!".
Therefore, I reckon a Monday night slot for this one.

So ITV will not want to show it and they will have it on ESPN instead then. (Does Clive moonlight for them? Another reason not to get ot)

How many do people think we're likely to take?
We should have beaten Arsenal at our place a few games back and we are utter balls at home. We're a lot better away and there's no reason why we can't beat either of those two teams.Agree with this.
I really hope we can take up and sell a massive allocation, forget about the League and try and enjoy ourselves for a change.

Leeds got an initial 5,100 in the lower tier with an option of a further 3,700 in the upper tier.
I doubt we'll ask for the extra 3,700 in that case - it's a lot of money to gamble with.
Could have been better, could have been worse. Still, it matters not because it is quite certainly our year.
Arsenal first 11 at thier place would tear us to shreds, if through injury and resting players and we pick the right team we have a chance
If you consider we'll be nearing CL and Wenger will be wanting to push for 4th, I think he might be putting out a weakened side which gives us a greater chance. As long as McLeish doesn't do a Houllier
They've got to get past Leeds first though.
Time for Randy to wheel out the free coaches. If it's Leeds we'll need Hummers with water cannons. Let's hope it's Arsenal and we can all have a good day out and hopefully keep my 40-1 voucher valid in the process.

if Hutton takes out Van Persie first minute , they are not going to score .Theirry Henry has a great scoring record against us

I just saw on tv that the only clubs he has scored more against than us are Charlton and Middlesbrough.

I'm guessing we'll have an idea when we see what side they put out against Leeds.

Well Arsene has allowed Robin Van Persie to go on a family holiday to Dubai! Just shows how seriously he's taking the FA Cup! My prediction: Wenger will pick an understrength team and we'll go there and win 3-1 with our first choice eleven.

We've got nothing to lose with this one.
We've got nothing to lose with this one.
Apart from our season. That's Tammurf-talk.
It's quite easy to score when the referee instructs the opposition to move out of the way while you kick it into an empty net, then awards you a ludicrous penalty.
How many have the Arse lost for the African cup thingy
Eboue?
Song?
From the Leeds site I got the info from.
We will receive an initial allocation in the Lower Tier of the visitors section of approximately 5,100 tickets priced at £35 adults, £15 senior citizens 65+ and £14 for juniors under 16. Disabled tickets (wheelchair and ambulant) are priced at £17.50. A further allocation of approximately 3,700 tickets may be available in the Upper Tier. However, this allocation will only be available if there is sufficient demand and we can guarantee to sell all of this section. Prices in the Upper Tier would range from £41 to £50. The deadline for us to request the Upper Tier is 5pm on Sunday. Therefore, our usual sales period is shorter than usual but necessary on this occasion.
Arsenal for me just for the personal reason that a day out in pubs and bars in London is a lot more pleasurable than being chased around some back street in Leeds having bricks thrown at your head
Leeds have made a good show of it so far, Townsend looks a handful, pretty much every time he's on the ball he's making dogmeat of the Gooners.
He's worth a look at.

He is on loan from Spurs
I'me over that weekend again, I hope it's Leeds.
Well on the upside we'll get more tickets, on the upside it'll probably be on TV.
1-0 to the Arse. Terry Henry for them, causing R5 commentators to orgasm spontaneously.
Yawn.

Game was on TV here. Henry mustn't have a contract with the disposable razor company any more. I thought it was Viv Richards who came on. Swear he was offside for his goal, the cheating c***.

Not an upside if it's 12.30 on a Sunday and I can't go! Although I suppose I'm being selfish here.
Couldn't break into a trot? Sounds like PiresGame was on TV here. Henry mustn't have a contract with the disposable razor company any more. I thought it was Viv Richards who came on. Swear he was offside for his goal, the cheating c***.
Lets face it he needed that extra yard, anybody else notice he could barely break into a trot, hope Keane has a bit more in his legs after his season.
I'd rather it were Leeds, but we've won twice in the last 3 years at the Emirates and can do it again. It would be quite amusing if Keane knocked them out.On a night of "fairy tale magic" I like to think this too.....
Thinking about this, does any PL side have a better league record than us at the Emirates, in the five full seasons they've played there?Don't see why we can't carry on in this vein if we go for it.
We've W2 D2 L1.
I can't imagine many teams have a better record than that.

The Henry-Halsey two step still rankles with me as well.
I know it's long in the past but I still get angry about this one. The Henry/Halsey free kick routine was one of the worst things of witnessed on a football field.
Marcus Allback was quoted after the game as saying that Halsey had asked him to ''get back 10 yards and wait for my whistle.'' So while they were getting the wall together Henry literally took his shot around Halsey without a whistle and the goal was allowed.
Fecking disgraceful and i've disliked Halsey ever since. One of the most incompetent going around imo (and there's plenty of competition).
Can you imagine the stink Wenger and Fleet St would have made of it had this happened to them.
It is easy to predict this: "7.00pm, Saturday 28 January, Henry loses Hutton in the inside left channel, Arteta's ball finds him in the area, he nutmegs Collins and bends the ball with his right foot inside Given's far post."

It's even worse than that because Halsey is laughing and joking with the Arsenal players and then signals to say, go on the you can shoot now. bastards

Have to say I think the Henry/Halsey thing is horrendous, the Henry hand ball thing is no more than a player taking full advantage in a spontaneous almost instinctive way, yes he cheated, and there was still a lot to do afterwards, if a player was playing for me with the World Cup at stake didn't do the same thing and give is all I'd friggin lynch him.
The Halsey/Henry thing is almost evil, there you have a ref working to give every possible advantage to the player to get that ball in the net, and then stands there laughing.
Beyond belief.

I was at that match and felt genuinely cheated to such an extent that I wanted my money back. It was beyond appalling. It's ridiculous how much sway refs have over the outcomes of games of football. I can feel my blood pressure creeping up just thinking back to that incident.

First of all, was it a fair goal in law? YES
I say this because, anyone who has played or been involved in football at a decent level knows and understands the procedure here. The advantage must always be with the team who have the freekick, and not the defending team. When there is a free kick around the penalty area in shooting distance, the ref always asks the attacking team 'ten yards or a quick one?' In most cases, the atacking side prefer what is known as the 'ceremonial' kick where the ref gets the wall back ten yards and holds his whistle up to indicate this. Once the attacking team have asked for ten yards, they cant take it quickly, if so, its retaken, and the offending player is cautioned, however, if the defending team, are not ready, or slow in getting back.organised etc, and the attacket see's a gap to shoot in, then they are well within their rights to say 'quick one ref' in which case they take it there and then. If it goes belly up, then tough, but if they score, then the goal is a good one..If anything, our anger on this goal should have been directed at JPA who was bent down with his back to play, doing his laces up!!!! had he been standing up, facing play, then this would never have happened..Henry saw this, and used it to his advantage...Had Halsey been wrong in law, then i would have been the first one moaning, but he wasnt. Its really a case, of those who know the law understand why it was a goal, and those who dont not understanding and being upset. One last point, there is nothing wrong with the ref having a laugh/joke with the players at that situation, it happens in games at all levels week in week out.

Liverpool v Man U is Saturday 12.45 live on ITV but still no news on our game.
Do many people have ESPN?
Bollocks. Was hoping we'd be overlooked and get a nice big away following. Ho hum.
Trains are 3 times the price on Sunday.

Everyone should use this game to forget about the League push the boat out and see it as a chance to take as many as we can and try and enjoy ourselves, god knows we need it, I was at Chelsea and haven't seen scenes like that for ages, kissing strangers, hugging Chelsea stewards and rolling down the steps and that was with about 1000 of us, Imagine taking 8000 to Arsenal and winning.
Get your pass outs, get your hair cut, find your old Adidas Samba's and your sergio tacchini tracksuits, drink 10 cans of Stella an the 9.15 from New Street, Sing your hearts out on the Tube to Finsbury Park, Meet me and the Kingston massive (if we get tickets) in the 12 pins, stop traffic with silly dancing at the traffic lights, march en-mass to the ground and LETS AV IT like its 1981!!!!

Churchillian, kingthing, Churchillian. though I'd draw the line at Sergio Tacchini, nothing less than Hugo Boss for me these days. ;-)
Any news on tickets yet? Pravda seems very quiet on the issue.
Are ITV and ESPN waiting until after the 3rd Round replays before choosing their 4th Round games ?
If so, I guess that's why TicketPravda is silent at the moment.

Arsenal tkt details: £35 adults, £14 U-16, On sale Mon Jan 16 to anyone who went to Bristol Rovers. For anyone interested there is also FREE coach travel from Villa Pk.
Usually you don't get to drink outside the ground when you use official travel, but we did when there were free coaches to Chelsea. I think the weight of numbers turns it into a logistical nightmare which leave them with no alternative but to let us loose on the streets of London for a couple of hours before the game.

Why are they giving us free coaches?
Because they don't think we can sell out our allocation?

Just pointing out a fact, Tao.
It's not the first time you're wrong, I'm sure you're used to it.
I think I am right tbh.
2011 Carling Cup Final
Starting line-up: Foster Carr Johnson Jiranek Ridgewell Larsson Ferguson Fahey Gardner Bowyer Zigic
Subs: Taylor Murphy Parnaby Beausejour Phillips Jerome Martins
Only the players in bold remain.
So that's only 6 players out of 18.
You're midtable in a shite Championship. That's hardle "doing well".
No we are midtable in the top-ranked league in Europe.

Whatever the reason is, if it gets more fans down there behind the team it can only be a good thing.
Sunday January 29th 2011 – 4:00pm kick-off
The FA Cup with Budweiser – Fourth Round Proper
Emirates Stadium, London
Ticket Allocation - To Be Confirmed
What allocation have we got?About 5000, I believe. We're unlikely to ask for the full entitlement of 9000 (though I suppose it's still an option if early sales go really well)

Somebody on the other channel reckons the upper tier option is no longer possible and already on sale to Arsenal fans.
Never been to this place. Are the turnstiles similar to Wembley ie un-manned barcode readers?I went last year with an Arsenal supporting mate against the dingles, and all I had was a printed email which was scanned against a bar code reader. Well worth a trip if you can. Just hoping I can get a ticket.
When I called the ticket office this morning they said that they hadn't been that busy.
250 left of the initial allocation This will sell out no bother, it always does at Arsenal.
No, Tao you've only taken 2300 to the Molineux.
We have currently taken the first allocation of 5100. The club will be taking the other 3200.

If it makes you feel better, I am a season ticket holder, I miss a few home games, and I moan a lot about chairman and manager, but can confirm that the idea of spending 3 hours each way on a coach with the sort of pissed up fifteen year old bell ends free coach travel attracts is about as appealing as having my testicles walked over by Richard Dunne.
Quite - you must have been on the same coach as me against Chelsea in the league cup.who said the FA cup was deadwho said villa fans weren't fickle?

Something like this must surely take up a massive proportion of Birmingham's coach capacity. Hardings as mentioned, Den Caney, Ellisons, Hollywood, all the big dogs of the coach world will be coiniing it in.
They'll probably have to resort to hiring Transits from Shirley-U-Drive.

There was a cup final in Cardiff where Arsenal were hiring coaches from Belgium.

Don't forget johnsons from our neck of the wood.
That's unfair. It's still £35 for an adult ticket and thousands are willing to give over the whole of their Sunday to back us in a contest where the bookies will still have Arse as favourites to go through. Money is tight for a lot of people and the free travel just makes it a more economically realistic choice for many. Hopefully, with us having almost as many away fans for this as Wolves/SHA could muster between them for a local derby game tonight, the Cup will weave a little magic in our favour.I'm only jealous Andy because I can't go, not seriously knocking anyone who travels away in these times - I remember going to Everton in 2000 when we took loads, one of my fav Villa away days. The poor allocations mean the FA Cup is the only chance we have these days to recreate those mass invasion forces of yesteryear where the home fans just look in shock at the hordes of claret and blue. It will be magic and about time we made some new memories.....
There were so many coaches for Arsenal away in 80-81 that I was Steward on coach 78, or thereabouts. My duties involved selling cans of pop, bags of crisps and Villa Bingo tickets. The return journey was not so staid.I wonder how many returned that day? We lost a lot of good men out there.
Any ideas on how you get more than one ticket for this if you just have the one client reference number? I would quite like to take my wife so she can sample a special Villa day out

They start going on sale to non season-tickets holders starting from tomorrow (friday). Check here and scroll down. It says that from this Tuesday they are on sale to anybody with any sort of ticket purchasing history - I would interpret that as being as long as your not walking in the ticket office wearing an Arsenal hat they are unlikely to refuse anybody tickets.

I take it you're sorted now Richard.
I wasn't going to go, but I've been swept along on the tidal wave of Cup Fever that's sweeping H & V, and have just bought a couple of tickets.!

I am hoping to get there Ken through the good offices of someone on here but will have to wait until Tuesday I think to use my booking history + their client ref - unless someone has two spare client references going which fit the criteria and give me access to getting tickets prior to then. As Frank says, it will be just like old times. I also have to say that it is at times like this that one really appreciates the kindness of the 'Villa family' here on H and V
It's great to feel this enthusiasm on H&V and elsewhere. Just like old times! Let's hope that the team rise to the occasion too.

"We have sold roughly 2500 tickets so far. We have took the usual 3000 league allocation first. They are making decisions on the extra ones as and when so i can't see us taking 9000 i just hope we take the 5000. Otherwise the good will of free travel will be messed up by people not getting tickets!!"
I was under the impression we had sold the 5,000...what do you's think?
It would look pretty bad if Leeds took 5000 there on a Monday night Live on TV and we are strugging with 3000. I know there's another week to go but the Club might bottle it and not ask for the 5000.
booked my ticket the other day and really looking forward to my first away game EVER!
The coaches leave at 11am in the morning. Given that the match starts at 4pm, does anyone think there will be enough time to visit a pub before the game?

Yes
And then there's having to escape the warm and tender embrace of The Mets Finest, who'll no doubt want to get us straight to the ground. Should we start an escape committee? :)The coaches leave at 11am in the morning. Given that the match starts at 4pm, does anyone think there will be enough time to visit a pub before the game?
Yes
Don't bank on that. Depending on how the journey is going, they could stop on the motorway to kill time.

I've heard away games are brill and the support is fantastic. Really cant wait. Last season must have been brill at the emirates as we beat them and loads of people in fancy dress right? Saw a video clip on youtube of all villa fans signing a song about the blues about them going down or something like that? Looked awesome
Wahay got 2, you'll all be pleased to know my mates coming and she's somewhat of a good luck icon, Reading away in the FA Cup, Utd at home 2-2, Newcastle home 1-0, Everton home 1-0, Sunderland away 0-2, Chelsea home 0-0, we've as good as got it in the bag!
is the VP car park going to be open for fans to leave their cars there for the day while we are away at the game?It usually is. Get there early with that amount of people going as it will get full.
I notice on the OS that we are being dropped and picked up at Finsbury Park 20 mins walk from the Emirates.Anyone know of any decent pubs around here ?

I wish, just curious. And bored.
Back to the game, We really do have a chance to nick this, the natives are very wrestless, they will rotate thier squad because thier priority is CL place. If we can hold them out and preferably score first we have a chance I would take a draw right now

Not sure about this to be honest, I get the feeling that they still badly need a Cup in the trophy cabinet, and will probably see us as opposition they should beat. I reckon the big boys will be out, but I hope I'm wrong.
No doubt they have the players that could and should beat us but they are fragile and have weakness, no fullbacks, Mertersacker, Rosisky, Song ,Walcott (which one turns up), Arsharvin, if we get our system and attitude right but more importantly our defence manages to hold together we can do this,Back to the game, We really do have a chance to nick this, the natives are very wrestless, they will rotate thier squad because thier priority is CL place. On paper are there "big boys" actually any good? RVP, yes. The Ox lad looks good and very dangerous...I'm struggling after that. Ramsey, of course, a decent player...They are a good side and on their day they can give poor sides a beating. I just don't think we are a poor side. I think we have some very decent players too.
Will Henry be playing?
Dunne will have a score to settle with him if he does.

Why does the club never push for the maximum allocation?
Leeds took 9,000 last year.
We should have been taking the same, especially considering the free coaches.

Villa's allocation for the FA Cup clash with Arsenal is now sold out.
Alex McLeish's men will be backed by 5,200 supporters on Sunday as they aim to reach the fifth round at the Emirates Stadium.
They will travel down on 60 coaches in free transport put on by the club to help try and roar Villa through in the capital encounter.
Nicola Keye, head of consumer sales, was thrilled with the fast take-up of tickets for the exciting evening clash.
She said: "It's great to see the Villa fans snap up their seats so quickly.
"It just shows their devotion to the club and also the magic of the FA Cup.
"Villa have a terrific tradition, having won it seven times, and we thought it would be great to give Alex and the lads the best chance possible to get through. There's no better sound than the fans cheering the boys on.
"The away support is always boisterous and the travelling contingent can be heard singing their hearts out week after week.
"With this amount of claret and blue fans there on the night, travelling down on the club coaches, I'm sure it will create quite some atmosphere."
The fourth round clash kicks-off at 4pm on Sunday.
Coaches will leave Villa Park at 11am and the drop-off and pick-up point in the capital will be at Finsbury Park, which is approximately 20 minutes walk away from the Emirates Stadium.

To be honest, selling 5200 tickets for an away game to a team we play year in, year out, is fantastic. Especially givne it is only the 4th round of the cup and at 4pm on a Sunday. If it had been 3pm on Satursday I think we may have sold the entire 9000.
Just received my tickets but nothing about the coach transport with them. Do they come separately? They come in separate envelopes but mine arrived on the same day

I find TRS, KRO and dazzyg a bit like the pub drunk, mildly amusing as long as you don't take them seriously.

I can understand people not going to a game because they can't afford it, or it's on TV, or they just don't fancy it – but I've never heard the excuse before that "I'm not going unless we sell 8,999 tickets!"

thats the funniest thing i've read in ages
Just got the coach tickets. 11am seems a bit early. Will I have enough time to meander for a beer once in the smoke? If you assume the coaches don't leave until about 1115, due to latecomers and no shows, plus the sheer congestion of getting 60 coaches onto the M6, I reckon it will be 1130 before reaching Spaghetti. About 2 1/2 hours to Arsenal plus 30 mins at the services equals 230pm, assuming no other delay. Half hour walk to the ground. You should be able to sneak a couple of beers in. The coach operators will know what they are doing and the Police won't want 3000 late arrivals in coaches. They will probably give you an escort at some stage to speed things up.
The coaches always leave about 15 minutes late, in my experience... don't quote me on it and turn up at 11.14 then blame me if they've already gone though!
I don't think they'll give a shit about latecomers, they'll want to push off as soon as they can. 2pm arrival at the latest, I reckon.
Then, it's see which pubs the majority are heading off to, then leg it in the opposite direction. :P

not used official travel before i take it?! on the couple of horrific occassions i've had to use it, they've left half past the hour they were meant to be leaving, had a scheduled and unnecessary - especially given we'd left half an hour late - 45 minute stop at a services (which turned into an hour..) for qpr, and for the portsmouth game, we didn't get to the ground until half an hour before. always seemed like they do their level best to get you there as late as possible. 2pm's a pipe dream if you ask me.
i'll be down in the smoke and on my third by the time they even think about leaving witton lane!!
It'll be no mean task co-ordinating 3,000 people on to the coaches.
Enjoy the day everyone who is going!Seconded - if you can talk on Monday you didn't do your job, get behind em UTV.

Do the coaches leave straight after the game?

What does it matter?
Sat next to the most vile, foul pond life Ever on block 26. Constant homophobic, racist and threats of extreme violence and spitting on the woman in front of him. Told the police and stewards came over as he was threatening to stab the Irish fuckers and hoping their mothers die of aids. Spineless team also. Wish I hadn't of bothered.
They were very good and caught him in he act. Was escorted to the top of stairs to the police and disappeared with them. Thanked them afterwards as I thought they were very good with the crowd today.Sat next to the most vile, foul pond life Ever on block 26. Well I've now been to Arsenal away twice, watched us be 2-0 up at half time and lose 3-2 both times. I don't think I'll bother again - I know the script inside out!So it's the first equal worstest ever match ever.

Ah, so it's all your fault then. You're barred from future games at the emirates. ;-)
Dave. I value your opinion. Which defenders would you keep in the (hopeful) end of season cull?It depends on who comes in. I still think we need to work on the midfield. There is no real engine in there. I wouldn't ship defenders out without replacing them.
First half he was calling van Perdue a fag, homosexual, pedophile etc. second half, foreign ****** (has some foreign people in front of us), general racism, lots of abuse for Ramsey for being welsh, wanted his mother to die of aids or cancer. He went wild after their first and got worse so I reported and removed him just after their third. They were very good and caught him in he act. Was this at full time?
Reading that, you did the right think itbvrvilla.
I'm the first to moan at ticket prices etc, but fair play to all at the club for putting on the free coaches today.
They don't have to do it, but it's very much appreciated.
Thanks from me and my three.
I was born a couple of years after we last won the cup – I've seen us win everything else worth winning and I WILL see us win this effing cup too one day. It'll be worth the long wait.
Hope the guy who collapsed down by one of the coaches afterwards is ok and managed to home alright.
I think Eck is capable of finding the right defenders I mean, look who he bought for the blouse. Dann and Johnson were top singings for them, especially in their first season back in prem under eck. We also need another winger or two to add some competition for Zoggy and Albrighton.Really? Wasn't it him who shelled out £4m for Hutton?

was anyone else at half time yesterday disscussing who you wanted in the next round Boro or Sunderland,
and how you were going to get there ?
all to no avail

Well I enjoyed the whole day out apart from the second half. They raise your hopes so much just for you to get kicked in the guts - but then thats the Villa for you. Half time I was feeling young again, Darren Bent scoring from that angle made me think of Brian Little.
Second visit to the Emirates and although it full of fickle cockney wankers, I'm getting to like the stadium. They at least try to celebrate their history with the stuff all round the outside walls, but someone really should throw a pot of paint on the O'Dreary picture.
Had a look at the old Highbury for the first time (oh, walking along that street in 1981), and again credit for how two stands have been retained and turned into apartments, you can still picture a football ground was there. I commented to my brother how it was so much better than if it had just been flattened and had a supermarket put on it. But he said it wouldn't have worked the same at Fellows Park.
I was born 23 days after Johnny Dixon lifted the cup for Villa. The first time I saw us knocked out was when my Dad took me to Liverpool for a 4th round tie in 1967, we lost 1-0.
I think 2013 will be our year, when is the draw for the 3rd round ?
The thing with Blues is they were very much 4-5-1 with the midfield protecting the defence, he did'nt have the attacking players that we have so he needs to find a balance between attack and defence.I think Eck is capable of finding the right defenders I mean, look who he bought for the blouse. Yes it was but dont forget that he also bought 2 central defenders which were the rock at the back of the noses defence which ultimately made it difficult from teams to break them down. Im not saying every signing of his is good as it clearly isnt but sometimes, you have to give credit where credit is due and he deserves it for the signings of Dann and Johnson. as a combination they were good.
That was a fantastic idea, it may have helped if the elderly new about it as a 72 year old I know really struggld with that walk.

Another thing I was told and deserves praise is that Arsenal laid on a bus to get old/disabled supporters from the coaches to the road over the bridge where the coaches normally park.
