Just got the coach tickets. 11am seems a bit early. Will I have enough time to meander for a beer once in the smoke?
If you assume the coaches don't leave until about 1115, due to latecomers and no shows, plus the sheer congestion of getting 60 coaches onto the M6, I reckon it will be 1130 before reaching Spaghetti. About 2 1/2 hours to Arsenal plus 30 mins at the services equals 230pm, assuming no other delay. Half hour walk to the ground. You should be able to sneak a couple of beers in. The coach operators will know what they are doing and the Police won't want 3000 late arrivals in coaches. They will probably give you an escort at some stage to speed things up.

I don't think they'll give a shit about latecomers, they'll want to push off as soon as they can. 2pm arrival at the latest, I reckon.

Then, it's see which pubs the majority are heading off to, then leg it in the opposite direction.  :P

Latecomers ? If your not there on time, walk up to Spaghetti and stick yer thumb out. Synchronise watches now, we leave at 11 !

The coaches always leave about 15 minutes late, in my experience... don't quote me on it and turn up at 11.14 then blame me if they've already gone though!

On the odd occasion we've travelled on the official coaches they have always been about 15 minutes late leaving.

It'll be no mean task co-ordinating 3,000 people on to the coaches.

not used official travel before i take it?! on the couple of horrific occassions i've had to use it, they've left half past the hour they were meant to be leaving, had a scheduled and unnecessary - especially given we'd left half an hour late - 45 minute stop at a services (which turned into an hour..) for qpr, and for the portsmouth game, we didn't get to the ground until half an hour before. always seemed like they do their level best to get you there as late as possible. 2pm's a pipe dream if you ask me.

i'll be down in the smoke and on my third by the time they even think about leaving witton lane!!

Golden rule: Never go to the pub where 'we are ALL going'.

The one and only time I used the official travel was the free coaches for Chelsea. We were at Earl's Court in plenty of time for a few beverages. It may be different tomorrow, we'll see.

I'm working tomorrow afternoon so all those going have a great time, make plenty of noise and cheer the lads onto victory.

It'll be 2.00 a.m monday morning here in Vegas and i don't have Setanta sports, so I'll probably be in bed asleep during the match. Really wish it could have been on the saturday, but there ya go... Predicted a Villa win anyway, so if I wake up Monday morning having missed it but knowing we're in the draw for the next round then I'll happily take that.

Hope everyone who goes has a top day and sings their hearts out.

Rubbish. Line up 60 coaches along Witton Lane, put a big number in the front window of each one. Have a couple of stewards on hand walking up and down in case any of our fans have the same literacy level as Harry Redknapp (allegedly).
