Usually you don't get to drink outside the ground when you use official travel, but we did when there were free coaches to Chelsea. I think the weight of numbers turns it into a logistical nightmare which leave them with no alternative but to let us loose on the streets of London for a couple of hours before the game.

I remember it well.

Leaving aside the obvious "You've aged" comment to Joe, the coaches are parked a fair walk from the ground and there's no way we could be frogmarched from there to turnstile.

That's the last time I'll ever take a coach to a game.

Also it must have been a record for the worlds biggest and longest police escort.

We can choose between 2,500 (normal allocation) , 5,500 (whole of lower tier) or 8,800 (upper tier as well)
