Sky news reporting Villa are in talks now, loan and a £42m option to buy.

Chelsea should cover all agent fees if they want that much. They only paid £40m for him 12 months ago and his value certainly hasn't increased.

How has is value increased from last summer - I hope I am wrong but I have a bad feeling about this transfer

I thought we were after a fast winger - is he that type of player?

As long as its an option to buy and not an obligation, then I'm fine with it. Some of his analytics from last season were pretty impressive compared to Morgan.

I hope we're not giving him a salary increase, it's reported he's on £90k - £110k a week at Chelsea. That's more than enough.

What, you mean like an obligation to buy after 60 games in which he was involved?

£35m then including the loan and agent fees. No sell-on percentage.

Yeah, that’ll be the conditions I should think.

All decent but the last one is a huge negative, at his age and experience he should be playing twice that but he managed to both have loads of positive stats whilst also pissing off so many people that he was a reserve and is up for sale.

Correct. I'm emotionally dead against this, but if the deal is right Emery should be able to get a tune out of him.

I would have wanted him this time last season, as I think he’s a potentially world class player.

But a year on he comes across as a bit of a knob, and could be one to swerve.

I’m still hoping we go back for Rashford, but giving up £350K a week at Man Utd might take more than Unai to convince.

Not really any reason he would be giving up his Man Utd contract.

What are the unit measurements of those numbers - a mixture of % and minutes played? ie How can he have a better assist record or key passes than Rogers when he played a fraction of the games and he was Blose?

Indeed, I'd love him back, but I think the only way is with a loan where Man Utd are picking up at least SOME of his wages - or they pay him off such that he's not taking a 'pay cut' for the first two years with his new club.

He's not getting £350k a week at his next club, so I don't begrudge him holding out for what he's owed by Man Utd.
