I hope we've understood 'conditional obligation' more than we did with Eliott.

Jacob Tanswell

#AVFC in advanced talks to sign Alejandro Garnacho from Chelsea. Initial loan with conditional obligation. Move driven by Unai Emery, who wanted 22yo last summer. AS Roma explored signing but Villa believe, through Emery, they have convinced Garnacho to join.

Fuck me, this is desperate stuff. I'd rather have Sancho back.

Bit worried that UEFA will do somersaults to make sure this one bites us on the Rogers valuation.

There are clear rules on it re: the conditions of the loan. They have to be difficult to meet for it to be considered a loan rather than a permanent transfer.

Does this make some sort of Harvey Elliot-style clusterfuck more likely?

Gonna get the Rashford/Lindelof/Sancho post that he'll probably do well in early. It won't stop mass shitting of the bed, but worth a try.

Well, this isn't exactly filling me with the true spirit of Christmas. Ah well. Hope I'm wrong.

Less. He’d have more games to play to make it permanent.
