We need to stop this continuing playing out from the back. the only time at the end of the half, when Emi did go long resulted in us getting a corner, which resulted in us putting Fulham under pressure in their own half, for the longest time so far in the 45 minutes.

It's bonkers how often I see this. I mean, this is our style now, and has contributed to our best era since the 90s if not the early 80s. We aren't going to become a long-ball team!

I think he's got a point in this instance. Horses for courses init. We've humped a few teams (e.g. Newcastle) by getting Emi to go more direct. It often works against sides that try to press our whole defence at once.

Agreed. Some in game management needed to respond to their pressure

Our passing has been horrible (Pau unusually the worst culprit). Time and time again Martinez has the ball and we end up trapped in our defensive right corner. When that starts to happen it usually means we’re going to be shit.

Torres looks like he desperately needs a shit, Konsa no better. The defence just looks  weak and we're toothless up front. Are we always crap everytime Tuchel turns up?

Need to move McGinn in more centrally,  he's wasted out on the right. Youri slept most of that half. Improved in the last 10 minutes but another not at it when we need him most.

104 Villa appearances for Pau, this was his 5th booking which is a crazy stat for a CB.
