Very good half. We have played well. Having said that it is all about the save in the first minute. That goes in and it is a completely different game. Onana has been immense. Newcastle are disapponting. The front three have been really poor. I like Miley though he is a very good player.

Thanks for that.

Sigh. When will they learn?

Excellent so far.

Note to Sky - enough with endless replays and close.ups. And yes Bruno is out - we get it. But we are missing Kamara and McGinn too remember.

They never mention Barkley either.
To be fair, neither do we

Watkins… it’s a real shame because he’s done gratings for Villa.  But he is totally shot.

Great performances elsewhere though.  What are the locals boing by the way?  That they’ve got every fucking half decision?  ******.  I really do fucking hate this team.

He’s not shot - lots of his play is enabling us to have so much space and get up the pitch. His final ball needs to be much better though.

He looks like a player with the world on is shoulders mate. You are over egging his contribution.

Maybe I am, but no more than saying he’s shot.

Aye maybe.  Prime Ollie Watkins doesn’t play that final ball.  I mean his confidence is shot really.  He is still getting in good positions. Fingers crossed he gets a goal.

Ollie's movement and determination is top drawer. He just has a brain fart whenever he has time to think.
Nailed it.

We will have to be careful 2nd half, score another from outside the box and the media will be saying that's all we can do, ...and our XG is shit blah blah blah

Have been a huge Watkins fan since day one - that game at Fulham in 2020. But I do fear now the end is nigh

Nah, that was the thinking before Chelsea last month and he won the game there on his own.

Ollie’s general play has been great. He gets into positions and allow us a lot of space. His first touch has been really poor today. If he could get the two elements on song he would be incredible. Don’t write him off

Think Watkins knew how bad a pass it was, he’ll want to make amends second half.
I think he’s gonna get on the scoresheet today. He’s been okay so far.

Watkins decision making has been terrible, it also seems like it is taking him 10 seconds to react.
