Watkins… it’s a real shame because he’s done gratings for Villa.  But he is totally shot.

Great performances elsewhere though.  What are the locals boing by the way?  That they’ve got every fucking half decision?  ******.  I really do fucking hate this team.

He’s not shot - lots of his play is enabling us to have so much space and get up the pitch. His final ball needs to be much better though.

He looks like a player with the world on is shoulders mate. You are over egging his contribution.

He's a believer, mate.

We need to be calm and patient at the start of the 2nd half, as they'll come out fired up. If we can play around them and/or draw fouls we can pick up goals towards the end.

Of course, we also can royally f*ck it up.

Excellent so far.

Note to Sky - enough with endless replays and close.ups. And yes Bruno is out - we get it. But we are missing Kamara and McGinn too remember.

Amen.  Took them 30 seconds to watch someone put a blanket over his kids.  If he was a good dad, he would already have brought the blanket with him.  Such poor parenting.

As for Watkins, his mum and dad need a word.

I'm worried that was our good half!

Need to watch Gordon.

Surely he'll swing in one decent cross cos they'be been all blose so far.

He's fucking rapid, I know that much. The terrible haired twat.

They never mention Barkley either.

Very good half. We have played well. Having said that it is all about the save in the first minute. That goes in and it is a completely different game. Onana has been immense. Newcastle are disapponting. The front three have been really poor. I like Miley though he is a very good player.

Thanks for that.

Sigh. When will they learn?

Superb half

Reminds me of performance v Citeh. Lots of individual battles being won.

And yet, his intelligent running and space-making is really causing problems for the Jawdies; just lacking some confidence.
More generally, we've had some good scoring chances; I hope we don't regret not having more of a cushion.

Watkins wasting so many opportunities here, needs to get a grip or Tammy will be starting...

I'll be honest, I think thats the plan from mid/end of Feb onwards....

Have been a huge Watkins fan since day one - that game at Fulham in 2020. But I do fear now the end is nigh

Played well after an odd first 30 seconds. Newcastle aren't half the team without Guimares and we have been pretty dominant.

Watkins is working hard and his movement is good but he is butchering so many promising moments. Hopefully Abraham coming in will give him a kick up the backside

No good congratulating ourselves at half time.  Got to go out and do it all again.

Ollie's movement and determination is top drawer. He just has a brain fart whenever he has time to think.

Maybe I am, but no more than saying he’s shot.
