I think the idea of a clear-out is fine and dandy - and necessary - but the problem is where we get the money for replacements. Even if Emery is still with us (and I'm increasingly of the view that he will go), we may well have make-do and mend in the summer. Yes, I'm sure we'll see Martinez, Bailey and Buendia go (along with Sancho and Elliott) but there may not be room for many more exits unless for fund-raising purposes (Rogers, Cash or Kamara).Which leads me back to the discussion on our younger players, and why we haven't give more some game-time this season. We may be starting to rely on 2 or 3 of the academy boys next season ...... it's all down to where we finish this season. Chumps or Euro League and we will have some scope to bring players in (because we'll represent a good move for them). If we get no European footie, we'll have more financial flexibility but less choice of good players. We desperately need to find the next Elliott Anderson / Wharton / Rogers type of player from the Championship or in Europe.

I mean, what's the point really?
We will do all our sales at the most disruptive time possible and be left scrambling around for loan players that nobody else wants.
