Why do you support us? That's another genuine question as i'm always curious why non Brummies choose Villa.

When my dad was 4 in 1957, the only club games ever on tv were FA Cup finals. And he went with the winners, optimistic it was the first of many FA Cups he would see us win.
We’ve been lucky subsequently to meet Peter McParland on a few occasions down in Bournemouth where he went to work as a porter and then eventually retire. He was always an incredible gentleman, happy to talk for hours.

This thread is getting like Blazing Saddles . Now I can blame the Methodists and the Irish.

Seriously Eliot, a big reason you're getting so much shit is because of how you reply to people. That reply you just did to CD, if you'd just said "That’s a UEFA ban as a punishment for past trouble , not a local authority or governmental ban for potential trouble, which is what I mean" it would create a debate. But you always have to add the extra stuff which creates an argument instead.

Because 80% of what I’ve had to deal with, are not genuine questions, but people trying to catch me out. It’s really pathetic.

I’ve answered perfectly civilly to sensible questions.

Your very first post was antagonistic with how it ended. You set the tone. You need to accept accountability, until you do you'll have this reaction in all walks of life. I'm trying to explain why you get the shit you do, and calm it down. You can choose to self reflect or not, that's up to you.

But don't keep blaming everyone else when it's on you just as much.

FFS, over 300 posts in, and not one Avicii reference. The forum's slipping.

I accept that but it was a response to a piece that wasn’t exactly neutral in its treatment of our group. So it wasn’t a hi everyone kind of post.

Yes, this was particularly civil.

I think a lot of this is just bitterness and an old man shouting at the clouds. Yes - in the olden days, if something happened at Villa, the world and its wife wanted to hear your thoughts.
Now nobody cares what any of us think. The club is global, no one person can just call the CEO and have a chat like the old days, and organisations like ours proliferate in a DEI friendly era. Everyone has a say through social media and phone ins. But nobody’s say means anything.
Your access to the big dogs and owners has presumably gone, as fanzines and forums in 2025 are sadly as relevant as the Boer War.
But yeah, blame Jews innit. Bloody Jewish Villans causing all these problems.
Over and out

Yes. In response to a pathetic gotcha that I had posted on the ticket groups a couple of times in the past ten years, when I said I don’t use the forum anymore. Wow - what a powerful delegitimisation of all my views.

Once in the past ten years I had posted for a ticket (not in the main forum). Not in the past 6 years at all had I posted anything. I think to say I don’t use the forum is a fair representation of that record, and the correction was pathetic.

I think it's great that there's a Jewish Supporters Group. It's just a shame that Eliot hadn't represented it very well.

It's more than once, but surely the number of times is immaterial to someone as dedicated to the truth as you.

Well on my profile, when I click on show posts, I have a ticket request from 2019, and then the next one is March 2015
