Possibly the best article I've ever read on here. Said it before, the state of real life politics makes me think of The Thick of It as a cutting edge documentary way ahead of its time.

Well summed up Dave. Particularly the last sentence.

As others have said, an excellent piece.  Agree entirely.

If only our politicians and commentators could adopt such an objective and reasoned approach, based on factual evidence of safety at football matches and historical precedents of restrictions/bans on visiting fans.
Thanks, Dave

Excuse me, while railing against the genocide-supporting politicians who want to give us Villa fans lessons on morality, I neglected to say what a good article this was.

This and the latest Guardian article have certainly helped to lift the mood.

I can't believe that a Labour PM finds himself on the same side of the argument as Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage, especially as he's supposed to be a football supporter.
He isn't, he follows Arsenal.

Maccabi as a club come out of it with credit for deflating the situation, the only ones who could/did.

Alas Villa were the innocent by-standers with a negative narrative around Villa Park.

Senior Politicians, Fictitious Fan Groups, Yaxley Bollock Head and the Disgraceful Local MP can take their arguments elsewhere. It won't be long before they settle on something else.
