Class and dignity from him in what must of been a weird time for him. Good luck with the rest of your career.

Good man. Has approached his situation with great dignity. He got to play in the competition, he deserves a nice moment to end a tough year for him.

I’d still like to sign him permanently.
Send back to Liverpool then off £15-20m

We already know he has the right attitude

Fair play to the lad, he’s been royally stitched up by the whole thing but seems to genuinely be happy to be there and his attitude has been great.

If we are not going all out the weekend to win, then he deserves to play.

It was also telling how well-liked he is by the rest of the squad last night.  Right in the thick of it with everyone during the celebrations.

I have a gut feeling he will be staying.

I cannot see any chance of that.

Nah, we could have done his clause at any point since Xmas and we haven't so I don't think he will. Hopefully he goes on to better things and doesn't haunt us on any returns to VP.

I think he means at a lower price.  i.e. we've decided he's not worth £35m Monchi negotiated - but at a lower price, we'd take him.

It might be that Unai has just decided "no" full stop, but if that was the case, I don't think he'd have been kept in and around the squad this whole time.

I would be surprised if Liverpool did lower any price to us though.

I don't think they'll get the £30m they agreed with us, but I'm pretty sure they'll get from someone than we're prepared to give them.
