Completely fine if we sign him, completely fine if we don't.

I’d definitely sign him on a free with no wages.
As long as he promised not to play.

If we waste any of our vital wages on him, I’d be gutted

I don't think he is at the level of most of the other lads. I'd rather take a punt on a young winger, but our scouting has been very poor as we all know. I'm not sure many clubs will be giving Sancho big bucks anymore, even on a free.

I always thought there was more to come from Sancho. I think we’ve only seen hints of what he can do.

I do think he has some humility and a good attitude, and obviously gets on well with the squad.

On a free, with his age, and a pre-season and six months of already working with the coaches, I can see that happening if the wages and signing on fee suit us.

Yep, agreed. I see good attitude too. Also pretty sure I see a young man who has been chewed up and spat out by the Man United machine and has lost confidence. We've had three of them now, they ALL predictably had a hard time from our support when signing, and they were all, for my money, various levels of decent/good. I wish we were better than that as a supporter base tbh.

He scored as many league goals for us this season as I did.

Yep. Counter argument is I can think of 10-15 games when all the good stuff we did in the final third went through him. If he isn't there...do we still get the result?

No, he scored against Fenerbahçe in the Europa League.

We can't expect to be up there with the Newcastle and Tottenham supporters of the world.

It is a tough one as he didn’t exactly set the world alight.
But, we know he’s a talented footballer and we know his attitude seems to be good within the squad.
He might just need the pre season and the security of being ‘wanted’ to kick on.
So a free transfer and decent wages (he has been on record saying he’d take a wage cut when linked to  Dortmund)
He also might be the key to bringing Rashford back

I think we'll sign him & I'm OK with that if the wages are reasonable. I don't doubt his ability, it's just we haven't seen much from him to warrant giving him a big contract.

I've been screaming for us to replace Cash & Buendia for the past 2 seasons & yesterday I voted for Cash as player of the season. So I trust Unai knows better than I do & he does seem to like players with ability that haven't lived up to their promise. Sancho should now be approaching his prime.

Can occasionally do good things but nowhere near often enough. When flakey is extremely flakey.

If we're a club that wants to be regular diners at the top table we need to be looking at better than Sancho and Luiz.

The problem is that we don’t have top-table money.

We have a budget, and if Emery can make do with Sancho on a free, so he can use more money somewhere else, he will go for it.

He obviously thinks Sancho can do a job, or he wouldn’t have stuck with him so far.
