Was great to see Nas and Wes on the pitch fist pumping and shouting ‘this is our time’ in a boisterous manner.
Blue Pontins style jackets?

An amazing night, we did our bit.

Such a shame about Chelsea scoring a winner in their game and then the Martinez tears.

Bloody hell it's never straightforward is it

Piece of piss, never in doubt. Spurs were utter shit as expected.

Haha, they weren't, they were a lot more solid and compact than we expected. We found it hard going for a lot of it.

No one was bad, all played well, but my standouts were:
Maatsen
Asensio
Onana

And props to Konsa and Kamara for the goals of course.
Exactly as PJ said for me.

McGinn and Asensio stand-outs for me.

Asensio probably had his best game for us since his penalty misses. His shot that had the keeper beaten was slightly deflected wide.

Well at least we've got our weekly league defeat over on Friday so don't have to fret all weekend waiting for it to happen !

Decent professional performance.

I sat next to a comedian who kept saying, to the people in front “don’t worry we’ll bring Watkins and Rogers on soon”, it got a bit tiresome after hearing it for the 20th time!

Admittedly I would have taken Rogers off for Malen but whatever his form he plays most of every game and more often than not does contribute, his stats will show an assist last night no matter how relatively poor he was.

Yes, I thought he was excellent. Just the sort of player you need to break up stubborn disinterested in playing teams like Spurs were last night. Good on the ball good off it as well.

Another vital win, great performances from Ascensio, Onana, Maatsen and Kamara, for his first goal for us that was some strike from Boubacar.

What a brilliant VP season it has been, does anyone know the last time we had only one home defeat in a top flight season.

Wasn't great , but Spurs weren't really engaging . Could easily have been 0-2 down , Cash was struggling and the defence were bailed out by Martinez and some poor decisions from Son.
2nd half better and got the job done .
It's going to the last day as expected , win that and see what happens .
I must have gone to a different game
He does have a tendency to be a touch downbeat - keeper making a good save is “bailing out the defence”.
Some people obviously live on critical theory alone. It's a terrible burden.

Emi seemed less upset on the walk around the pitch. Maybe I was being dramatic.

Still waving though.
I’m sure we’ve all shed a tear at VP.
I cry every time I buy anything at the food and drink kiosk.

Good routine win without breaking a sweat really.

Maatsen, Cash, McGinn and Onana all seem to be finding a rich vein of form in recent games. I scream about Rogers looking pretty out of sorts every game lately, but the lad is still delivering assists so can't really complain I guess. Special mention for Asensio too - Much better last night than he has been in recent times.

One player who I think has looked a little off it/jaded in recent games is Kamara. I feel his goal glossed over what was a fairly average performance last night, (*though still a vital part of our team). Was shocked when an aging Son absolutely destroyed him for pace as they chased a ball down the wing at one point.

Onto Old Trafford. Don't fuck it up Villa.

After beating Spurs yesterday, I think that this might be the first time (certainly in Premier League history) that no club has got the double over us.

What would we do without McGinn? Superb yesterday, led from the front and epitomises what a captain should be.
We are so close to a team that can challenge for the title and whatever happens next week I think if we get the recruitment right in the summer we will.

I thought Kamara was excellent last night. I lost count of the times he broke up play and stopped them in their tracks and he almost always finds a decent pass to get us on the offensive but you rarely see him playing a "Hollywood" one. His goal was top class.
We were discussing him last night and how he's so effective at what he does but never seems to grab the limelight. He's the ultimate "under the radar" player in my opinion.
