Here are the details

https://www.avfc.co.uk/villa-park/app-ticketing

Although I still can’t figure out how to add to family and friends. Maybe that is on the website somewhere?

It is, if you go into your account I think you click on your initials on the ticketing website and there’s a Friends and Family link in the menu.

if you forward a ticket to a family member do you have to pay the difference between 1/19th of ST price and the individual match price?

No you get 1/19th of your ST price
Forward to a family member not sell ! When you used to phone ticket office and assign ticket to another ID you had to pay the difference to matchday price

Sorry Malcolm didn’t read that properly. I don’t think you do have to pay the difference anymore BUT it maybe worth checking the link to Digital Tickets that someone has just sent to check. If that isn’t clear then I’d
Probably ring the TO.

Can download ticket and use QR code if you do not have / want to use NFC. But will need to download before you get to the stadium in case you cannot get a signal which is 99% likely with their crap internet connection.

Nothing to do with the clubs internet connection unless you are insta connecting to the local wifi outside the ground.

All seems OK for me other than I only see the Newcastle ticket in the App and not the tickets for the other games (which, according to the Tutorial at https://www.avfc.co.uk/villa-park/app-ticketing/app-ticket-tutorials/ , should all be visible.) I played around with the "Forward" function in the App and it brought up the "Friends and Family" list I've inputted into the Tickets section of avfc.co.uk ; only flaw I see with Forwarding is recipient must have the Villa App installed and be logged in (fat chance with most of my Friends/Family...)

Our IT performance is covering itself in glory again. Unable to download Newcastle ticket - no surprise there - logged out of the App, BIG fuckin mistake that was, just cannot log back in now no matter what i try. Tried resetting everything and logging on from a tablet and a phone and nothing. Why is our IT such a ball ache...

I messaged the ticket office to ask for the dates that match tickets go on sale to members, as I am currently being notified a out an hour after they have gone on sale.

I got an email back saying they will put the dates on the website ’in due course’.

Meanwhile, my membership has been worthless for the first 2 games as I was notified far too late to get the tickets I wanted.

I’m thankful to this thread as I had no idea that match tickets were only available in the app from now on.

The confirmation emails do specifically mention downloading the app but crucially they didn’t state that downloading to Apple Pay or google wallet wasn’t an option anymore.

It is an option to download to Apple/Google.

Just had the same, finally managed to re-set password as it wasn’t accepting my old password, after 4 password resets finally got back in and Newcastle tick was in place. Stressful on a warm evening!

You can download the app on apple or google but not individual tickets like before.

All match tickets are now issued in the Official Aston Villa App only.

Mine (season ticket) only appeared today and they've said they're doing season tickets first so hopefully yours will be on there in a day or two at the most.

Did you get an email with a link or did the season ticket just appear in your wallet?

I've successfully downloaded my ticket to my wallet. Silly question coming up - no QR code, so how does it work? Will it appear closer to kick-off, and will it automatically go in the wallet or will I need to download again?
