Quote from: chrisw1 on June 23, 2025, 03:51:28 PMThe truth is it seems like it doesn't matter where you are on this list this season (outside those who actually get a ticket) as it will be reshuffled again next season. So being 2,000 now will be pretty meaningless unless you go to every game next season.Surely membership will be the biggest factor?

If it was a level playing field and I had known 100 points rested on it, I would have parted with the money.I am fortunate that I have a mate with season tickets who spends half of the year in NZ and have first dibs, even if i "am him" for some games, but this feels like changing the rules in a despicable and devious way. My dream of getting my own seat when the North Stand is expanded are dashed. I will have to carry on bending the rules until they introduce face recognition to get in! Pissed off!I think this is probably the worst part. Hypotheticaly, a non member who had attended every single home game for 2 seasons would be behind a member who hasn't attended a single game. When it was never stated that being a member was a condition of being on the waiting list, which it now effectively is.

It's not a waiting list now is it........it's a competition where by basically, who ever spends the most money wins.I will happily now be a part-time supporter as long as i'm sitting next to my kids at the games......non league sides will get some of my cash next season.......at 3pm
Do we think that your points will go up and down over a rolling 2 year period or do we think they have drawn a line in the sand from 2 years ago and any points earned will carry on moving forward??Good question......Villa should have an answer ready for that

When it was never stated that being a member was a condition of being on the waiting list, which it now effectively is.Why would someone purchase a membership and then not attend a game in last 2 season ? Waste of the membership fee. I am fully in agreement with removing people on the list that haven't attended a game in last 2 seasons. The only exception might be parents putting kids on the list that are not yet old enough to attend games. Having, along with my 2 adult sons and living 100 miles away, attended approximately 36 of the 76 PL and Cup games over the last 2 seasons, I don't feel any advantage by being given 100 points for our Claret Memberships. What do people think the club should have done to filter the list so as to reward people who've actually attended games ? I've gone from 11989 to 855 on the list.
