And it’s not being mentioned the Bournemouth player was charging into the back of him.
100% and the ref gave a foul on Tyrone.

That’s the crux of it. If he doesn’t charge into him like he did then there’s no foul and his jaw stays intact. It was his own fault.

It was like watching an episode of The Walking Dead, the way Scott tried to eat Tyrone's elbow.  The filthy bugger.  He then tried to take a nibble on Kamara's elbow too.  This sort of behaviour needs stamping out by the FA before it becomes a fashion.

Yes I think Ty's name would be mud with our fanbase the other way round.

Don't Reading fans hate him for stamping on one of their players ?

I think they've taken a Bournemouth flag there as a trophy and are scrawling AVFC on it.

They're writing 'Get Well Soon' messages to Alex Scott. On the downside, I fear it's only a matter of time before someone cites the photo as evidence of Pau's inability to cover properly at the back.

Who is that at the back next to Maatsen?

Garcia isn't it?

Declan Pierce (and his Block Rockin' Beats)?

Haha, it's a pity only about three people will get that reference. Like my random song lyrics  :'(

I think Pau’s tight pants are surely impacting on his defensive abilities. I bet by Ty wears a looser boxer. Discuss.

For me I was surprised when they did review the Mings elbow that they did not ask the ref to go and look at the incident

Thought our full backs and wide midfield players did well especially defensively

Ramsey was unlucky to get a 2nd yellow card for a non challenge

Good victory and our fans were fantastic

Probably because they saw nothing in it, the same as the ref.
I don’t recall any of their players remonstrating
The only person that seemed to think any wrong doing was their manager.

I think they didn't see any movement to suggest the elbow was deliberate unlike the Bournemouth manager. Might have been different if Mings didn't have the control of the ball first ala Jackson yesterday. But it was a close thing.

. As for Ramsey, he appeared to pull back / clash legs with the player with no attempt to get the ball. He was already on a yellow AND the player wasn't going anywhere and was always risking it with that ref.

The Mings elbow is a non event. He used his arm to protect possession as every player in every match does. He doesn’t move the arm towards the forward, the forward ran in to it. Also we ought to stop reffing based on out comes. Often a player can break a leg with no contact and the worst tackles leave the recipient unscathed. The broken jaw is not relevant.

I didn't get the reference or know him, so googled and thought it did look like him, I didn't know why he was in the dressing room. So joke missed.

I saw a stat earlier that said if we win our next two games we'll finish on more points than we did last season, but in a lower position. Strange old season.

There’s no way of knowing if we’ll finish in a lower position if we win both games, is there?

Maybe it said potentially finish lower? I can't remember. What stood out to me more was the fact, league wise, it doesn't feel we've been as impressive as last season, and we didn't really get in the mix for top 4 in the same way we did last year, but yet and all we could finish with more points.

I know what you mean, I was telling lots of people up until about February that it didn't seem like we'd played well all season in the league.

I think it's the psychology of when the good run happens and our position in the table because of it. Last season we were in title winning form for the first half and mid table for the second. This meant we were always up there and managed to stay there at the end, which is a different kettle of fish to bobbing around mid table and having a late charge like we are this time.

I think qualifying for CL this time would be a bigger achievement than last season given we have had to deal with CL games as well this time around.

Last season's league was very different.  The top 3 were miles away off in the distance, and from early-March the 4th place position was really just a two-horse race between us and Spurs.  Both of us hit a wall in the last month, but we were lucky Spurs hit their wall a bit harder, losing three of the last five.  You can tell it was a 2-horse race, because Chelsea won their last five games and were STILL five points behind us in 6th at the end.

This year, the competition has been MUCH closer for the European places.  We're pretty close to the level we were at last season (and will get a higher points total if we win our last 2), but the teams around us have improved a lot.  If we win our last 2 and still miss out, I'll be gutted, but it will still be an improvement, and 69 points is a pretty good total.

The big difference has been the way we've finished the season (so far).  We were blowing out of our arses this time last year, whereas this year we seem to have peaked at the right time, despite two big cup runs as well as the league.  I hope that's something we can take forward into next year and make sure we can compete on all fronts.

He's a big Villa fan and mentions it when  he can in his radio slot.
