I'd love to know what people are seeing in Buendia beyond running around a lot.

Yep, he flatters to deceive. Can’t deny his effort but he’s not quite good enough.
Agree. Too many times he coughs the ball up cheaply.

Yep, if he got his final pass right he'd be a great player but far too often he just gets it wrong under little pressure.

Buzzes around like an annoying wasp. But one that hasn't a sting
(Watch him score/assist now).
That's his 2nd stunning goal, but of course he does nothing except run around. He has been one of our best players preseason and will only get better. People have short memories. He played in every game from when Emery took over to the end of that season and then unfortunately got an ACL and spent 12 months out. With game time he will get stronger and be an important squad player for us.

Bailey will not figure in the squad Sunday.
Nobody will figure in the squad Sunday!

Neither team nor how ever many subs you can include these days then.

Yeah, he regularly got 3/10 from Brontesaurus.

I remember being very excited about what Emery was 100% definitely going to do to Buendia. …and then his ACL went.

I love the bloke but I do feel he needs to play as part of high press so his energy is supported by the tactics. The rest of his game is currently 6/10 whereas I hope Emery can help him find space in those invert wing positions.

Emi B really put a shift in last season for the U21s in the Vertu Cup at Fleetwood as he began getting back to fitness.  You  could really see the determination in him to get back his fitness.

Once fully fit then the next step is to recover confidence and his skill levels. He seems to be getting there.

He's been out for so long that will have affected his link play and understanding of how the rest of the team knits together - should improve as he goes along.
