I like the look of Jimoh-Aloba. I wonder if he could be used on the right.

There was still plenty of rustiness out there, particularly Teilemans / Rogers / Digne / Maatsen for me.

Jimoh-Aloba did well & a nice little cameo from Patterson…Rowe obv at fault for first goal but did ok otherwise.

Never sure if you have a keeper whose feet aren’t in tune with the ball that you don’t keep playing the same way

What's Nashville's standard? From what I have seen it's about League 2.

Currently 3rd in the MLS Eastern Conference

Looks like we're going to be back to "relegation watch" threads this season rather than the CL.

Was at the game and Nashville are a poor side. League 2 is not far off it until they brought there number nine on who had a goal and assist.

I agree with those who say we lack pace. It is glaring. I feel like people generally like Bogarde, but I think he genuinely is awful. I know he stepped up as a six against Arsenal and maybe that is his best position, but he is bad as a CB and a disaster as an RB.

The youngsters and Iling Jr are not ready. Jimoh might be at some point, but he got beat on multiple occasions and I doubt Emery will have liked that.

Onana looks good as does Ollie, though he missed a couple of chances today. Malen should be on the wing and Bailey on another team… please! He is miles off it.

This season will be a challenge without a refresh of some players. I am concerned.

Outside of key players getting bad injuries, I don’t think preseason games, results or performances are any kind of barometer of the season ahead.

Yep, to get frustrated at friendlies is not worth it. They are training sessions and that’s all.
