Having seen precisely zero of either of these first two training games, any views on any of the youth players who have stood out? There’s space for someone to step up and be part of the Europa League squad.

Hemmings, both games.
Agreed.

Why fly all the way to east Germany for this game , could of played Mansfield or similar . Very odd. We need to start picking the pace up a bit now . Pre season so far P2 L2

Villa were invited to play them as part of their 60th Anniversary celebrations, with a decent crowd turning out. Nothing odd about that at all.

Great to see the ol' Moreno and Ramsey combo from the left still has legs in it. The two lads bossed Spring '23. More please and thank you.

Don’t let Tim or BC see this. They’ll be so scared of one of our pre season opponents they’ll be wanting Monchi or Unai before we play them.

Good of us to give them something to celebrate on their anniversary

Maybe but it’s a stretch if we saw Alex line up at left back v Newcastle.

We will likely be watching Evan Ferguson for Roma when we play them in a few weeks. Joined on loan.

I have. Nearing the end of Rowland's new memoir. Quite an eye-opener!

I am going to read that next. Waterstones in Birmingham had tons of signed copies when I was there last week, I wish I had picked it up then.

Ah, those hilarious days when we had posters suggesting we sell Duran for £30m and spend £70m on Ferguson as a replacement.
