I think the 'Allez' is a good fit for all fans as it doesn't have any swearing, so that families can all get involved

I think most 'new' songs are all copies of what others do, just with slightly amended lyrics

Also, anything too complicated won't ever catch on apart from in small groups who probably practice it in their bedrooms

Also, it isn't "Allez", it is "Ale" (similar pronunciation) - the song isn't French, it's Italian.

"What's wrong, French lager boy, worried you might gesticulate unnecessarily when saying 'everything's fine, thanks'?"

If we dress like this to sing it, count me in.

I quite like it as it has started under the "new era" of villa. Maybe under Dean Smith?
Not all those tosh years of before.

It also doesn't mention "them" which I quite like.We should sing about us, not them.

Ah, I was unaware of that. I was sure I heard they nicked it from a Portuguese team.

I think a few teams in Europe nicked it from Italy and Liverpool copied it from Porto.

L’Aquila are considered the first, other Italian clubs nicked it from them, Porto nicked it from the Italians and after this video Liverpool and loads of European clubs nicked it Porto. IMO Porto is the best version.

I vaguely recall stopping in L'Aquila on the way to Pescara, it housed the Italian version of a Supermax prison where all the Mafia bosses were held.

If that adds anything to the debate?

They should force them to listen to the song on repeat for the whole month of September?

I can never really fathom why there are so many renditions about Blues; we give them air time by singing about them. I don't think there are other teams in the Prem that do it to our extent. We haven't played them in the top flight for over 14 years and only lost once to them in the last 16 meetings. It doesn't make a lot of sense.

Aye. I'm monumentally sick of that 'Birmingham Are You Listening' dirge.

Gives the rags a relevance they don't merit.

Some of the European sides we've played this year probably haven't heard of SHA and must wonder why we're so openly proud of defecating on our hometown and telling the world about it.

"Europe away allez allez" although ahead of next weekend it should have been 'FA cup allez allez', where the potential of some actual silverware was a reality up to a certain point on semi-final weekend.
