At some point we need to be getting the results we were getting last season if we want CL football, yesterday we had an opportunity to do so.

I continue to be concerned that the summer transfer window improved the squad but not the first X1 and last night shows that.

Well in theory we can currently play slightly worse then last season being as last season 4th and 5th were on 43 points at this stage, and currently the same positions are 38 points (or could be 40/38 if Chelsea win tomorrow).

However the squad being deeper could stop the blow-out we had second half of last season and hopefully the additions of Malen etc might improve it to similar levels of play going forward.

And yet, we are playing as well if not better than this time last season.

We've taken 4 points from the Emirates in the last 12 months, no other side can match that. We're doing alright.

It's like being fisted with a mango by Ayn Rand.

Surely fisting is with a fist?

Can you be mangoed?

Nobody's saying we're playing as well as last season but it's a bit much to.complain about a draw away to a team second in the league.

Coming back from two down.
2-0 down away at Arsenal, who are second in the league and unbeaten at home for a long time and your moaning. I’m pretty sure I’ve hear Martinez, Rogers, Ollie in recent weeks express to the press we haven’t been at our best this season, it’s plainly obvious. However to be upset about yesterday you might as well take a seat next to that attention seeking Gooner kid in the crowd.

I'm not moaning!

You can. It's when someone with discredited beliefs in 20th Century economics holds a mango and fists you. You'd prefer the fist on its own. I'm not taking questions.

Until we comply with FFP we’re going it really struggle to keep purchasing players of Champions League status. We seem to have reached this position and suddenly our hands are tied.
I get that and of course transfer dealing is not a perfect science.
Onana and Maatsen let us down last night for different reasons.

Does Ayn Rand advocate fisting in any of her published works?

Yes. It's her entire philosophy, but it normally relies on barbed wire.

Our home form has quietly crept back to impressive levels and some of the big guns have all got to come here still . Win the next 4 puts us in the mix and all to play for .

Ian Wright was giving it a right whinge post match about "the board need to back Arteta now". He seems to have used the budget already given to him in a strange way. Merino and Calafiori are good players but they have lots of options in those positions already. Sterling seems done. Huge money spent on Rice and Havertz the previous summer, Havertz always seemed a bit samey to like of Odegaard.

Better still Arsenal facing FA punishment for showing replays of Havertz non goal on the big screens in breach of VAR protocols.
