It’s 100% a red card, he’s clearly made sure he scrapes his studs down him, twice. Actively harming us over the next few games.

Glad to see so many defending him though. He’s just lucky he hasn’t gone through a bad patch in front of goal.

Mountain to climb obviously now but it's a game with plenty of needle so chance of ref evening it up. Joelinton a little bit lucky and Trippier is on a yellow.
I would agree, but the Jaudis have now got 15 minutes to cool themselves down and focus on putting us to the sword.

Watching the red again, are we going to ignore Scharr’s “accidental” flick out to Duran’s bollocks in the lead up? The red is harsh. Yes you could argue he could have pulled his foot away but it’s hardly clearly intent.

I’ve absolutely no problem with Duran being angry at being sent off, none at all. He’s 21 years old and plays with his heart on his sleeve and he’ll soon learn the standard of refereeing in this country is at a very low ebb.
No consistency, no understanding of the game and the application of the laws change from game to game.

Absolutely right. I love the passion he shows rather than meekly accepting a bad decision by a fucking terrible referee.

With my claret and blue glasses, No red
Looking in slow mow it seemed his right foot was going wide of Schar in real time and that he brought it back to tread on him
Emery just sat there as he went off so I think he also saw that, he also lashed out at something as he went off.
Dodgy defending again, but we can still get something, I hope that does not come back to bite me.

I think the Duran one could go either way, the reason it's annoying is because you just knew Taylor would lean in their favour, as he has repeatedly. For me Joelinton has made 3-4 yellow card challenges and been given the benefit of the doubt, which clearly wasn't an option for Duran.

The ref is crap but Duran has let his teamates down, he knew what he was doing. I will go back to bed when their second goes in.

This would be emerys best result for us if he turns this around.

The call is a tough one, but there is no denying that Anthony Taylor is a twat and an absolutely horrible referee.

Oh, and Cash’s defending on the goal was disgraceful.

Cash was defending a 2 on 1 with McGinn miles behind him!

That Red isn’t even debatable. He can be excused the first foot on the defenders thigh, but not the second attempt to climb over him. You can tell by the reaction of both sets of players and our gaffer.

We agree. It’s not debatable. It isn’t. His left foot buckles and slips. He has nowhere to put his right foot and there is no intent. You can tell by Durans reaction which is instantly to see if Schaar is ok. If he’d done it out of anger he wouldn’t have done that so quickly as he would have still been in the heat of the moment.

Totally agree with this comment. If your left foot has buckled are you really thinking of stamping on the Opposition player. Scharr didn't really need to go the floor but when he did at that pace you risk being trod on.

Well a cute team would be aiming every attack at Trippier now. Or going down at any contact Joelinthon makes on them so let's see what happens. We're probably going to need something like that to get anything now.

Good job you said scrapes and not raked as that can really upset some people

Ollie on for Tielemans.

Save Youri for Brighton and we'll need Ollie to put in the work rate of two CFs now to get anything here.

Rogers also on the left to have some runs at Trippier.

Don't mind all that, I still think we'll score at some stage.
