The call is a tough one, but there is no denying that Anthony Taylor is a twat and an absolutely horrible referee.

Oh, and Cash’s defending on the goal was disgraceful.
They have the benefit of the crowd that massively influenced that decision

The Newcastle coach too.  And all their players.

Duran can win or lose you a game in an instant, it's likely to be the latter today and that's the risk. Until then there wasn't a yellow card in the game, but this idiot ref thought otherwise.

We looked OK until that moment, but it does feel like a ground where nothing goes in our favour.

Clear red he raked his boot upwards from where it landed.

What a ridiculous comment. Lay off the Christmas sauce. Never a red in a million years. Neither was Joelinton’s but it was more a red because there was actually intent.

That Red isn’t even debatable. He can be excused the first foot on the defenders thigh, but not the second attempt to climb over him. You can tell by the reaction of both sets of players and our gaffer.

well we got to half time at 0-1 so still in it. The question is how to shoehorn Watkins in?
I'm not sure what id do hook cash and reshape, or either tiely, mcginn onana. Rogers is having a shit game but I'd keep him on for now

The one thing Rogers offers - even if he gives the ball away - is that the ball will stick to his feet a few seconds and allow the backline to get back in position.

The bent ref has ruined the game. That said, Kamara and Rogers not at the same level as the last few games. We need to be more physical against these animals.

This commentator is really dreadful. We have no chance with this ref.
Bad enough playing 12 but having to listen to some prick desperate for them to score is pretty tortuous

Raked? Fucking really?
Raked? Wtf. He placed his boot on Scharrs arse with minimal contact. Red card? Harsh but maybe. Raked? Not in a million years and I've no idea why a Villa fan would call it like that.

Just saying how I saw it. I wish I didn’t see it that way but he appears to change the direction of his foot land and the push it forward. He could just as easily landed his his foot to the right or at least try to.

I'd go bailey on for mcginn and Watkins for Rodgers. Get Onana to play a little further forward if we're still in it with 20 mins to go. Possibly Tyrone on for Cash as well and Konsa to RB.

I think we just have to acknowledge that we're stone-cold cursed at this ground and will literally never win there again.

Which is a shame as I fucking hate them.

Taking off my villa glasses, I think the ref has got everything right so far..

Duran stupid

Don't believe what you hear on the radio as you're clearly not watching the game.

With eleven men we were well in the game but that Dhuran red card has changed it massively.

Cash was distracted for thr goal by the overlapping Lewis who McGinn should have been marking, but was also way too far off Gordon for the shot.  Duran was stupid and it could have been avoided.  We have to have someone up top to hold the ball up.  Take Tielemans or Onana off and put Ollie on.  Move Rogers to the right 4-4-1.

Looking at the Duran sending off again, it's just a stupid decision by Duran. We were really in this game before the sending off.

Not when he's already falling the other way.
