The first game I ever saw at Villa Park was against Cardiff city top of the table class old second division 1959/60;we won 2:1. I hope we repeat the feat and move into rd6

But I remember seeing Leighton Phillios play - Hitchens was well before my time.Yes you might but many won't remember Leighton . Great centre half a ball player not physical , like Torres in some ways . So who else apart form El Ghazi , Robinson, This Gerry Hitchens and Leighton (and the awful chambers) played for Villa and Cardiff? The centre back James Collins perhaps ?

He hasn't been match fit for 3 months so no prem club would have taken him on the start of the season . Just about getting match fitness now . on the flip side Chambers have been superb for us the last 10 games

I think have to be fair Chambers played in 7-0 in middle and that was a week ago so can’t have been superb for 10 games Chambers is a championship player with greatest respect maybe he was good in other games but against Leeds you lost 7-0 so I can’t agree with your assessment
