David Coote is the referee.
Gawd help us! Let's hope there's a decent VAR 'cos Coote doesn't make decisions.

Coote is one of those refs that are 'open to suggestion' as far as I can tell. I would get someone on the pitch to stay close to him at all times whispering positive outcomes which he will accept and process without question, like the weak minded guard at Jabbas palace in Return of the Jedi.

The kind of analogy that keeps me visiting this site.  That and the misery.  But mainly the analogies.

Tielemans ruled out injured.

Not good news.

On the one hand we're in for a gubbing, on the other we will come up with something of a surprise result.

Either way drink will be taken before KO, not as much as in Belgium mind.

Cocky tw*t; it'd be nice to shove those comments back down his throat ...

... but we probably won't!

It’s also not true. The approach at Villa has been pretty different to his other jobs. It’s also incredibly patronising and disrespectful to someone who is a much more decorated coach than him.

Tielemans is fit!

He just has a pain in his knee and will miss international matches but he’s available Saturday and given we don’t have another creative midfielder I’m sure he will play.

attacking options currently are Bailey 2.0 , an out of sorts Bidace , Supersub who can't play with Watkins , so i'd say limited

I suspect we'll see Onana and Tielemans with Kamara coming on as a sub.

                 Martinez
Konsa   Carlos     Torres    Digne
           Onana     Tielemans
 McGinn                            Ramsey
               Rogers
                       Watkins
Subs:
Kamara for Onana
Bailey for McGinn
Duran for Watkins
Philogene for Ramsey
Maatsen for Digne
