Wiki warned them in the first place.

Quote
Notably, during his early matches for both Rennes and the national youth teams, he has demonstrated proficiency as a winger, centre-forward, and attacking midfielder in the style of Anthony Martial.

TBF, he is 19 and his best positions seemed to be coming in from the left rather then leading the line. The fact that is Son's best position has already caused issues with Spurs as it is also Maddison's best as well.

I have a lot of faith in Emery, but the fact it's been multiple clubs now where Felix has been shit makes you wonder if there's something there that is actually the player's fault.
possible - but then look at Marco at psg - hes scored more goals for us in 2 months than for them in 2 years.  I think Unai sees the potential rather than anything else

Was PSG not a case of there being better players ahead of Asensio, so he wasn't really playing? I don't follow French football so I genuinely don't know with that one.

I feel like Felix is being given every opportunity to play, he's just not firing, for whatever reason.

There is no such thing as a better player than Asensio.

Maybe it's all a big 'in' joke with Damien and Monchi and the lads, they keep talking to the press about wanting Felix and meanwhile they're tying up other deals whilst nobody notices.
Felix has been universally shite, so your 'reverse messaging' conspiracy may have legs!

Sort of, but more just a style of play issue.

The way they've played since December is to have two fast wide players and the three central midfielders are all do-a-bit-of-everything (like Tielemans / McGinn) types and need to do more defensive stuff than Asensio does.

Then they chucked £70m at Kvaratskhelia, so anything they were getting from Asensio, they're now getting from him.

In other "players we were heavily linked with in January" news, that Mathys Tel has now dropped to the Spurs bench and has done nothing since that late consolation goal against us in January.

Feels like Rashford has worked out the better of the two.

That’s more on their team and manager than Tel . He’ll probably score against Southampton today. Quality player who really didn’t want to go there.

Shocking. He failed to score against Southampton today.

According to Teamtalk (courtsey of the BBC Gossip page) Man City hope to sign Morgan Rogers as Pep is a huge admirer. Hmm.

Yeah I just saw that one.  There will be clubs ‘eyeing’ him for sure.

I take the link with a huge pinch of salt anyway, but the thing about Morgan is that he strikes me as a very bright young man, with a decent head on his shoulders.  He KNOWS that if he goes to Man City he'll be a completely different player in that system.  He's been there. He's seen it from the inside.  There is no way a Pep side gives him the freedom and trust he currently gets from Unai.  He might get a few trophies over the next few years, but is that enough to sacrifice fulfilling your true potential as a player? (see J. Grealish).  I'm sure it would be for some players, but I don't think so for Morgan.

Links for our best players is something we've always had, and it's only going to get worse as we get better as a team and have better players on the pitch.

Imagine how angry Pep would get when Roger’s tries one of his spins and then power bursts forward beating a few players. He’d soon put a stop to that nonsense.

We are higher up the food chain now so there’s fewer clubs that would be deemed a step up.  It also means when we do sell there’s likely to be big fees attached.

I do like how Pep is a big admirer of a player who he let go for a million quid.

It’s why retaining our CL place is so important.
Makes it much easier to acquire and retain top players.
