Ward Prowse a forgotten man has ended loan and gone back to West Ham.

You think someone would have taken him.
I remember when Deano wanted him and were close to signing
And I also remembered Cashy gifting him free kicks and the two excellent goals he scored.

Takes a great set piece Ward Prowse.

Asensio interview covers a fair bit about CL so with his experience you’d expect him to be in the CL squad…

I'd guess it depends on how bad Mings' injury is, and how Torres is recovering. We don't have long until we need to submit the squad list, but we don't play CL again until early March, so possibly we don't need to add Disasi?

I could see Malen being the one left out, given the other 2 are on loan. Malen can help us qualify for next year where he'll get plenty of games.

Abufuckingcity have spent nearly £200M. It’s almost 2/3 of the total spend by all clubs in this window.

Cheers for posting. Maybe Malen misses out if it’s only 3, seems a bit harsh to go with loan players over our own though.

Not when one of them has won the CL 3 times and the other was one of the best players in the country 2 seasons ago.

It's a tough call though, and one we wouldn't have had to make if we hadn't gotten Disasi in last minute. Entirely possible all 3 attacking players were promised CL.

If that's me you're asking, no?

Simply pointing out it's possible that all 3 attacking players were promised they'd be in the CL squad, because at the time of signing, we weren't looking like getting a CB in.

That's now changed, and it seems likely that Disasi needs to be added, so there's now a decision to be made.

Ah ok. I read it as if you thought it was a negative and would rather not have signed Disasi enabling us to register the other 3.

Awkward conversation tomorrow.......Ah ...well....when I invited you to join us on our Champions League journey......I didn't actually say as a player. You don't mind sitting it out this year do you ? You can have a padded seat in hospitality.....Next to Mr Heck.

And breathe ..... I honestly can't remember many more hectic months in my time following the club than the one just gone.  The last week alone has been crazy!  Time to regroup now and get ready for the run-in.  Not having the Champions League play-off is massive as it means we will now have the time to integrate the new signings and the existing players have a much reduced workload for the next month.

Time will tell just how well we've spent this window, but the prospect of watching some of the players who have arrived is an exciting one.  Not entirely convinced we have done enough to improve our defensive problems, but let's see.  I think we have had a bit more of a short-term approach in this window and that we could be looking at a bit of a reset over the summer.

Abufuckingcity have spent nearly £200M. It’s almost 2/3 of the total spend by all clubs in this window.

According to the BBC, FC AbuDhabiBandis' spending this window is up to about £180m, compared to £177m for the other 19 teams in the Premier League combined.

That's the second-highest spend in a winter window ever, behind Chelsea in 2023, who spent €330m (£275m).

They haven't sold anybody.

PSR?

Nope, me neither.

I think we can all guess the eventual outcome of the 115 FFP charges....

If Disasi has signed 🤞we have signed, loaned or sold 20 players this window. That’s some turnover.  I class this as a very good window, if Disasi has signed and am looking forward to the rest of the season.  Hopefully, the new players can hit the ground running.
