You do a bit of background reading on him and his coaches all praise his leadership, calm personality and intelligence following tactical instruction. Emery loves a rehab job, I don't think this is the nailed on disaster people will certainly paint it to be.

I’d immediately question whether pretty much any player who plays at Chelsea and struggles is down to them or the circumstances. It’s at least got to be a question.

We missed the opportunity to get Trevoh Chalobah off Chelsea in the summer. He'd have been ideal to cover both the RCD and RB positions. At the time they were looking to sell him rather than loan but now after a loan to Palace he's returned to Chelsea and going no where.

I'd take Disasi over Chalobah any day of the week.

Disasi is surely an upgrade on Carlos, he's five years younger and two inches taller for a start. Someone's posted a data comparison on twitter and he looks better across the board.

His data and reputation before Chelsea suggests there's a decent player there. Looking at Foyths fitness record, I would be much happier to have both.

Looking at Transfermkt, Disasi has mainly been playing RB whereas his skillset (big bugger) means he’s probably better suited to being a dominant CB.

The Chelsea fans have made him damaged goods with their Disaster nickname, so I hope we try before we buy.

Excellent. We must be getting a real quality player in then. Bring it on.

If even half of these are true, our Champions League squad is going to have a lot of players from the first half of the season left out of it.

I am silly to engage but they were saying good riddance and all that and I was feeling protective (already)

but I am arguing with them that with a stable coaching environment he will be fine and they are all entitled spoilt twats

That's no different to UDC and 'Ulysses = Useless'. He wasn't half as bad as was made out, but his name made it easy for insults

Chelsea fans call him Disaster Disasi.

Villa fans called Savo Missalotovic while he was scoring more goals in his first season in England than Bergkamp and Cantona. Know-nothing football fans love trying to pretend they’re funny.

Fucking Villa fans, maybe we are "the vile" as that lot call us  :'(

Presumably Garcia for Kosta and Disasi for Carlos are two straight swaps in the champions league squad. But how does Malen fit in? I don't think he can just replace Philogene due to the home grown rules? So would he have to replace Buendia? That is then our maximum three changes either way.

If we want to get Foyth in, are we going to argue that Torres has a long term injury in order to replace him? If so I don't think Torres could come in if fit?

I'm having PTSD from years of playing Football Manager and accidentally screwing this bit up.

Real Madrid will offer Aston Villa the chance to sign striker Endrick on loan as part of their bid to secure Jhon Duran's signature. (Foot Mercato - France)

Chelsea supporter view suggests Disasi is another Carlos. Last ditch merchant and poor on ball. Chelsea is a tough place to succeed so maybe he can calm down with us. I can't recall much of him against us.

Disasi and Foyth were hardly anywhere near the top of our prospective RCB options for last 6-12 months.
